5.0 Exterior | 4.0 Comfort | 4.0 Performance |
3.0 Fuel Economy | 3.0 Value for Money |
Exterior
Excellent design. This was one of the prima facie reasons why I picked this car over other SUV's when choosing.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Excellent quality interiors, Spacious especially if you are planning on a getaway to the country or to the farmhouse for a weekend.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Engine is good on the open road, but the vehicle can be sluggish in stop and go city traffic. Fuel Economy can get bad in the city traffic, but is enhanced on open roads. Gearbox is quite good and relatively smooth to shift as compared to the Safari, and the upper end Scorpio!
Ride Quality & Handling
Excellent ride quality on highways, as mentioned above. I would also rate the Toyota Fortuner abt the same, but the overall experience off roading is somewhat better in this 4x4!
Final Words
Despite its shortcomings, its a pleasure to own and drive one. My recommendation overall for this car would be a positive.
Areas of improvement
The company needs to improve the cost of after sales service - both in terms of service network and cost of replacing spares.
Good Looking, Rugged, Fun to drive on highways and open roads, Features, SafetyPickup (truck like), difficulty driving in city conditions, mileage, cost of replacing spares
