Ford EcoSport [2015-2017] User Reviews

The variant purchased was ecosport 1.5L titanium plus diesel fly audio, on 19 Jun 2017 in Kerala. Reverse parking camera and daytime running lights are standard for this variant. The dealer had confirmed the availability of them, before purchase(also given in carwale web site -compare cars).   Unfortunately the car was delivered without them. It was told by the dealer that the camera software is under upgradation and will be fitted in a week's time. But they are unable keep the promise as on date.  Complaint registered with Ford too did not work out. They are also unable to tell me the time when the camera will be fitted. The ford representative from chennai who talked to me on phone had told that the daytime running light is not part of the standard accessory for titanium plus fly audio variant I purchased. This is contradictory to the features published and given by the dealer. Now I am left with the option of initiating legal action against ford for deficiency in service.

Dear Sir,

I have done Booking for new Ecosport Titanium Plus Model on 31.08.2017 at Riddhi Ford, Mohan Cooperative Area, New Delhi, after going through the various Features in the catalogue and explained by the Sales Person from your dealership. I am extremely astonish to know that one of the main features which have been highlighted have been missing in the car.

1). DVD Player.

2). Rear View Camera.

3). Leather upholstery. When enquired from the delaer they informed this features are not coming in the vehicle.

4). Besides this I have to Kept waiting for even Temp Registration as well as Permanent of my Vehicle. I have not purchased the vehicle to Keep the same standing in front of my home. I cannot drive the same until the same is registered with the Government agencies.

5). I have not been informed what all basic accessories have been provided to me since I have been charged for the same.

6). Extended Warranty have been charged whereas that was offered to free of cost to me because of corporate Discount & Loyal Customer of Ford (I am already having Another Ford Eco Sport).

7). EMI Details are not available with me, if the cheque bounces then you will blame me.

8). In complete papers have been provided with out receipts of RTO. Please look in to all of my complaints at the earliest else I will be forced to go to consumer court as well as Give the same in the Leading Newspaper as well as on you tube and social media networking sites.

9). Also I feel I have been cheated of more than Rs 1.0 Lakh since the main features are missing.   Hoping for the early solution.

Exterior Its exteriors are good and there is no doubt about it.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I test drove a relative's Ford Ecosport diesel top model purchased only one or two months ago. Interiors have good quality plastics,dash board appeard to me long (width wise) and it gives a sporty feelings. Average fuel consumption,outside temperature,push button start and other such creature comforts are very much there in the top model and about other models or standard features in Ford Ecosport I really do not know or I am not aware of them. Seats though very narrow , are very hugging and comfortable bacause of their quality material.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox What surprised me is its sporty nature. This compact SUV behaved like my Pulsar 220 bike.It's brakes are razor sharp just like that of a pulsar front brakes !! When I slowed down in the traffic, it picks up without knocking or any drama even in 3rd gear. Only in 4th gear when I tried the same trick it started knocking. It has a commanding view, you feel like you are seated high compared to any sedan,hatcth back etc., 

What also surprised me was that you begin to feel the road literally about every patch on the road, even small undulation on the road and offcourse every small pit . It bumps up and down on every patch. I do not know, it may be that sports vehicle should be like that but  I can not imagine the comfort for people sitting in the back seat while I myself sitting in the driver's seat could feel like that!!

Another surprise was that there was no wobble, which means no body roll and no headache or no vomitting sensation. I got down with such sensation when I test drove Verna, Chvrolet magnum,Swift etc., but not when I drove Tata Aria ! or Feat Linea! and yes Ford ecosport as well. That is real good for long journeys because it means you would not get tired.

Ride Quality & Handling Handling seems to be good though the real test should be on a national highway which I did not do, so I can not comment. Ride quality is not pliant and not smooth but you will feel every patch on the road even if you sit in the front.

Final Words You can buy to use it for long journeys or for city driving, may be works better because of its really stiff suspension.

Areas of improvement I do not know but seats should be a bit wide, it is useful only for two people in the back, two in the front (remeber they should not very faty ladies !!). A fifth adult at least can not sit without causing problem for all.

I bought this car 1.5 yrs ago and to be very frank its an awsum car having a awsum hauling capacity...u can feel the power while driving this car.this car only takes my 5 to 6 bucks a year as maintaince cost which is same as my scooty..so go for it guys..only the front seats have less space.else no prob

I have been using Ford cars since 10 years, only for the reason of the built and drive. To my experience, could not find a better brand with such built and drivability under 10 lakhs. All through my experience, never had issues or concerns on service and service cost. Specific to Ecosport, it has been between 5K to 7K [including wheel alignment and balancing]. All we should know, is what we are spending for during service. Special thanks to Fortune Ford - Abids Hyderabad team for creating such a service experience.

I've been driving this car since 3 months, you can go to long drive rides because comfort if great, economy is good, if u ask me which car to buy, i recommend to you eco sports, excellent work FORD.

All the cons have been taken care of in the facelift 2k17, so dont worry like back and front arm rest, automatic on/off of side mirrors, place to keep small things on the dashboard. Performance and control is unbeatable.
