Exterior This is my 2nd review. Before buying, I was searching for 2nd review to get better idea about that. But I did not find any. So I decided to give one now. Maybe helpful.

PUNTO evo Emotion diesel. Now it is 6 months, >6500 km. I went to Ooty trip from NGL via Kothagiri.  We cross 1197km up and down including Hill route. 5 adult +AC, with full luggage, I got average 18.2 km/L. Nagapatinum trip via trichy got 21. Driving control is excellent. Cornering also best in control.

Reliable Engine as everybody knows. We cannot expect some time sudden pickup especially lower gears in Town. To overtake, may need one gear down shift will be pleasant. 2000 RPM, it is 90 km/H. As I wrote before, Gear shift is bit rubbery and no problem in that. Little more power could be better. This is just OK.

Built Quality[ Not plastic like seat handle ,diesel tank lid opener], Heavy we can believe the strength. Feel safe inside. This is the main +. Very good suspension. The body shape really I love it. I am following only my mind. Not  thinking of others what  they buy and resale value. I wish to keep longer Year. Very good ground clearance and big tyre. AC, Normal. Not much engine noise inside.

Ride Quality & Handling Breaking is excellent. Sound system, voice control, Light,Horn, all well satisfied. I am not modified much. I add Only Car reversing sensor [Audible] fiat genuine one. It is useful. About service, I am well satisfied with Rehoboth service centre Thirunelveli. In Nagercoil I did first service [check up and water wash] Pay zero bill. I believe it is cheap to maintain FIAT car. Any brand, luck also play a part. I was facing only one problem from the beginning, in lower RPM, I hear small vibration from glove box lid. I add additional rubber. Till then it is 100% ok.

Final Words I am well satisfied with my evo.

Driving controlNot much

Punto Evo is completely revamped inside-out from the old Punto with stunning exteriors and stylish interiors.  I ordered Emotion Diesel variant in exotica red color (most attractive on the road).  The basic (Active) and mid (Dynamic) variants lack many smart and safety features. I suggest better go for high end variant if you are really interested in owning a premium hatchback car.

Exterior

 I have booked my car in 2009, even before seeing it physically. That much confident I had about Fiat Punto, when every body waiting for Maruti Swift by that time. I took my car delivery without any regret of my decision and even today I stand on my words. The Externals of the car is appreciable for the price range. Even today, after a water wash, I am impressed with the stunning looks of Punto

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 As far as Interiors, it is very basic Engineering to the requirement of function. rear space design could have improved. The comfort of riding is awesome, as our family tiredlessly travelled more than 500 kms at one stretch. No body pain, even after that.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

There is lag below 2000 rpm and after that it "moves with power". Many of us are not tuned to this style as we need initial injuction more to speed away when the signal turns Green.

Fuel economy was 20kmpl upto 75000 kms I have driven and after that it is 17.50Kmpl. 

Gear box is nothing great to complain or to appreciate. It does it works properly.

Ride Quality & Handling

Ride quality is the forte of Fiat. It is driver's angel. Easily I can negotiate curves even at 70 kmph speed, which I am feared to do with Indian or korean make cars.

Due to perfect weight ratio, puto outshines all other hatch back to give same sturdy handling of your car, whether it is single driven or with 4 passengers. No difference at all.

Final Words

Service is blamed as poor area for Fiat. But, my perception is different. It is not 5000km range service for Fiat, it is sheer 15,000kms range for service. That's the confidence of manufacturer on their Engineering. 

A maruti  or hyundai car will be appreciated that the service charge is Rs 5000 every service and blamed Fiat that it is high.

After driving of 1.25 lakh kms, my total amount spent for maintenance is around Rs 90,000 in last 6 years. I am sure the amount will be higher if I had used Cars of 5000 kms service range, in which I have to pay 24 services so far and defeinetly the amount will be around Rs 1,40,000+.

Hence the service cost of Punto is less than Rs 1 per Km.

 

If you want to have real driving plesure, concerned for family safety and stay away from crowd, then your choice will naturally ends with FIAT, as it is the economical brand with the above attributes.

Areas of improvement  

Punto can be increased to 4200 mm to give more luggage and rear seat space. Additional cost is worthy, insteady of restricting the body shape to 3995mm for tax benefits.

 Excellent ride quality. No need to afraid of bad road and speed breaker. Having good ground clearence.

Final Words

 AC  and music systems are ok. mileage not bad. City 12 to 14 kpl all time with AC. Highway, 19 to 20 KPL with all time AC, around 80 to 90 speed not more. Boby looks very strong so feel safe inide. For a normal driving style,I feel it is very good car. I am satisfied in my buying decision. Hoping that my FIAT dealer can give better service hear after. 

Areas of improvement  

 Some Plastic Quality like driver seat adjusting Handle need to be thick and strong like other brand cars. Clutch pressing is bit long but no problem. Dead pedal,  I feel, need little more gab between Dead pedal and Clutch pedal.

This is the worst experience I faced from Ebony(Aadya Motors Mekri circle, Bangalore)automobiles Pvt. Ltd., Mekri circle Bangalore.

I purchased Fiat Punto EVO Dynamic Petrol Version on 29/10/2014 from Ebony Automobiles Bangalore, While Delivering the Vehicle They are not Deliver the Central Locking Key(second Key) with the Car, only one key I received with the car.

Executive Chandrashekar Promised me he will Delivery the second Key with in 3 Day's.Today is the 23rd Day, still Din't received the central locking key.

whenever I call Chandrasekhar he will lie something and sometimes don't pickup the call.

looks like Ebony Automobiles spoiling the Fiat name in Bangalore, I will not recommend anyone to Buy the Fiat Vehicles from Aaadya.

I am fed-up with this and if it is not resolve with in 2 day's I am planning to file a complaint in consumer court.

Lacking a bit in performance and gearbox, maybe because its new and is in run-in condition. Always have a feeling it is improving after every KMs i drove. Fuel economy is getting better. After completing Delhi-Mcleodganj trip, it became totally different car. 

Ride Quality & Handling

This car is made for long distance drive. Amazingly stable above normal speeds. I bought this car as I was impressed by driving my friends old punto few years back. Test drived so many hatchbacks but my heart stopped for this interesting car's handling and ride quality.

Areas of improvement  

Fiat should imrove its interior and exterior plastic quality. Some of the interior fittings seems old school. Fiat, please improve your engines performance for Indian roads as you did it for European roads.

Pretty interesting interior and exterior design, fuel economy seat space. Really appreciable handingfew interior plastics even space to keep accessories are not good

"Punto Ranagada"(Punto Tank) is the name given to my newly bought FIAT Punto EVO 1.3 mutlijet Emotion by my 3 years son and I can confidently say that he is 100%, absolutely correct. Built quality of the car, its grip on the road and control prove it to be so on road.

In fact this is my first car. Being a PhD holder and having developed research aptitude, I searched for around four months before buying the car. The research was carried out on net, through discussion with people/car owners/drivers and by meeting many showrooms and making comparisons.

Later I took test drives of almost all the cars in this segment(i20, i10 grande swift, dezire, micra, pulse, jazz, amaze, etios liva, tata bolt). But to be true, it was love at first drive with Puntoand nw feeling proud to select the same.

Actually, I am a new driver; learnt driving just 8 months back through a very good training school. But to prove FIAT's moto in adds "FIAT he unke liye, Car he junun jinke liye" it has satisfied me in all aspects; looks, comfort, controls, pleasure etc.

I have drew around 2000 km in just 15 days and felt really happy and excited every time I drew.

Mileage:

What is more surprising is the mileage; I have got around 21.5 on road and around 17 in city with AC and I am quite satisfied with it.

About service:

Whenever I asked somebody about buying a FAIT car, I got many responses telling "the car is good but there is service problem". True to some extent. However, let me share my true experience here in Kolhapur. Aaron FIAT is the dealer here and they are doing really wonderful job. They have started service center in full fledged mode with all kinds of equipment and well trained labors. After 1000 km, I went there for cleaning the car and they did it without any charge. When ever I call them for any tinny query, I have got completely satisfied. What's more?

Finally, FIAT @ India and Aaron FIAT @ Kolhapur are marching towards a tremendous reputation and popularity in coming future and I wish all the success to them.

Areas of improvement FIAT should desperately think to increase service stations across maharashtra like suzuki and hyundai.

Exterior It is simply a tank. I mean, just check out weight of bonnet. Try to closd doors roughly. It still gives a nice robust thump . This you won't find in any of "popular" cars. The solid build gives a kind of confidence while driving.

As per my view, since the fiat-chrysler group also include the brand maserati, the look of evo appers much inspired by that and thus looks very bold and mean.

The best possible color combination is present on dynamic model only. i.e. body colored handles( the chrome handles on emotion looks crappy), moderate beige on door panels(unlike active, thus won't get dirty easily),etc. The soft touch plastic on dashboard really gives a premium feel. You'll feel as if you are sitting in a plane cockpit.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) If you look at punto from outside, you may think it must be cramped in there, but belive me, there is a too much of space inside. Even the boot space is great. Space is present for both legs of driver to move comfortably.

The stock music system is not that nice in terms of display quality, etc. but the speaker output is really fantastic.

Small yet thoughtful features present such as lamp in boot, glovebox, driver side compartment for keeping toll money and recipts, etc.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Most of the times it is criticised by reviewers, that the maruti's and tata's have better tuning and pickup for 1.3JTD (MJD), than fiat. Personally i think, what is the use of giving pickup and acceleration and pickup to cars whose dynamics can't handle it safely? The mjd can be tuned uptil 126hp, however I feel the parameters fiat have set for punto evo are perfect and safe also.

PS. For me, in initial 1000 km drive, I am getting 21 kmpl with ac in city-highway mixed conditions.

Ride Quality & Handling Not a single word to say about it but "BEST". No one can beat punto in this department. Most of the car manufacturers claim to produce safe vehicles in 2015, but punto has received 4 star NCAP safety ratings just for single driver side airbag version back in 2005 only. Another face is that, since it was used as a official sports car, the body build is superb. Being originally designed for a 2 Liter 256 HP engine, the engine bay with 1.3mjd looks much bigger. Thus providing more safety for frontal impact.

Final Words Punto is a fiat's enthusiast's car. Thus if you are looking for a low cost car and ready to compromise on quality , safety and performance, don't even look at it. But if you are economy minded person at home and passionate driver on roads, don't think beyond and grab its wheel.

Areas of improvement I often mistakenly pressed the dead pedal instead of clutch. Though now i'm getting over with it, still the dead pedal positioning needs revision. The plastic quality of handles can also be improved.

My experiance I have a bitter experiance from Daiwik Fiat the distributor at Malappuram, Kerala. On January 2015 they delivered me a new car. Within a month I came to know that they have delivered me a crashed car after repairing and repainting. Then I send  a legal notice to the Fiat company and Distributor.There after the Manager at Daiwik Fiat called me and promised to replace the car, but till this date they have not replaced. Finally they have agreed to replace the car within 24th of April. Other wise I am going to fight legally.

I am grately disappointed that the Fiat company authorities has not responted to my complaint. Companie's customer relationship is very poor. I thing the company authorities are not bothered about the customers satisfaction. I am mentally disappointed in the behaviour of the company.

So my advice is not to buy any Fiat vehicle or atleast not to buy from Daiwik Fiat. Daiwik Fiat is a fraud.
