This is definitely a great car and its been tried and tested abroad for years. This is one car which had written the turnaround history for FIAT when they were on the verge of collapse.
I am looking forward to buy a Fiat Punto Active 1.2. I have also booked the car. Recently while reading the reviews on the internet and after speaking to the dealer, I came to know that if we fit the central locks or music system from outside the dealership (since these are not available in this model), the warranty of the car will stand void. Now since these are two very important things I would like to have in my new car, I tried finding out if the central lock is available for Punto. The dealer said that the same is available but is not with them right now and I can expect that in a month or so and then it can be installed. Reading through the reviews, I am apprehensive if the dealer has told me the right thing.
For this reason, I tried contacting the customer care @1800-209-5556/7979 and found their response such that even before buying the car I became apprehensive about the service I can expect from FIAT. They didn't seem to understand a bit and absolutely had no information related to this. All I could hear from them was that they will arrange for a call soon (when exactly cannot be committed). I told them that I have already booked car and need to make final payment before which I need confirmation. If these things are not available, then I will probably look out for other options, but to no vain. If somebody has any information on the availability of central lock for Punto in india or hv contact nos. of "responsible" FIAT officials, please share. I really want to buy this car but with no regrets for small features.Good design, luxury hatchback, comfortable driveFIAT service, bad interiors
