      Exterior CLASSY.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features Great, Space --Poor Legroom at Rear, Comfort --OK.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine looked alright during my test drives, heard fuel economy was only 9 km in city conditions and the Gearbox was average.

Ride Quality & Handling FANTASTIC during my test drives

Final Words If i buy this car, it will be my heart ruling my Mind.I want to buy this car because i like the looks of it and the stability.I know it has a lot of disadvantages---Poor service record ( I feel FIAT should step in instead of TATAS ) ,Mileage Bad, Parts getting defective in a new car etc.I have my Opel corsa since the past 11 years and pl trust me, i have had no major repairs OR breakdowns OR replacements.I need the same from the Fiat Punto as well.Well i hv my reservations --- reading so many reviews.I am keen on a Petrol version since i like the Petrol engine refinements over the diesels and my running is around 1500 kms per month mostly in the city.

Areas of improvement SERVICE< REAR LEGROOM SPACE<REVERSE VIEW<PARTS AVAILABILITY. I am looking forward to a FRANK advicefrom the Punto 1.4 Emotion Pack ( Petrol users ) only.I have looked at the Polos, Fabias, Marutis, Hyundais as well.Which car do I buy, I need Air bags, Blue Me, A/C.Climatic Controls etc.Punto has ALL the features i am looking for.

Exterior Compare to i20,swift vdi, body built quality is very good & good front look.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Less boot space, poor plastic quality,no rear AC vents, riding comfort is very good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Powerful 90hp adavanced multi jet egnine with good fuel economy i.e in city 16.5 kms & in highway's 20 kms, Clutch & gear box is very smooth compare to swift.

Ride Quality & Handling Good riding & handling comfort.

Final Words I just completed 2250kms in my vehicle, good vehicle in this segment ,major concern is service ,,so think before u buy in all respects.

Areas of improvement Back shoks( thud thud) noise while going thro' bumps / pathole's, need to be rectified or upgradtion need to be done. Worst service in TATA showroom,no one aware about the technical/ mechanical works. all the time engineer need to come & resolve the issue. Overall experience W R T service is very worst. Request to All fiat people try to keep customers happy by provoding good service.

Out look & comfortWorst service,,interiors is not upto mark i.e quality of plastic is very bad.

      Exterior SUPERIOR.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) EXCELLENT.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox GOOD.

Ride Quality & Handling VERY BETTER.

Final Words I DRIVE FIAT PUNTO ITS VERY SMOOTHLY DRIVING ON ABOVE 100 SPEED. IT LOOK VERY WELL,I FEEL GOOD WHEN DRIVE PUNTO & MY FAMILY VERY LIKE IT. NEW GENERATION CAR SPORTLY LOOK.

Areas of improvement I BUY FIAT PUNTO EMOTION 1.2 FROM CHANDRAPUR(MAHARASTRA) ON MONTH OF JUNE. TATA MOTOR DELEARS AVAILBE IN CHANDRAPUR BUT I THINK SERVICING NOT AVAILBLE IN CHANDRAPUR . I ASKED DERLARS ABOUT SERVICING CENTER SO THEY SAY FIAT SERVICEING IN NAGPUR JAIKA & AK GANDHI. & ACTUALLY FROM CHANDRAPUR TO NAGPUR DISTANCE IS 150 KM. IT HAS BEEN 1500 RS PETROL CHARGE ABOUT SERVICING SO I WILL SUGGEST TO YOU FIAT SERVICING AVAILABLE IN FUTURE IN CHANDRAPUR FOR CUSTOMER MONEY SAVE & I THINK MORE CAR SELLING WHEN OPEN SERVICING IN CHANDRAPUR & ALL SPARE & ACCERIOUS AVIABLE IN SMALL CITY.

DRIVE GOOD , GOOD STYLESRVICING PROBLEM IN SMALL CITY

Exterior The car has great looks- really a head turner on the road- and you feel very proud, when people see it and apprecaite it- The color of the car is really the best one- Tuscan Wine-it adds lot of value to the looks of the car. I booked the car 3 weeks back and got the delivery on 5th july - my wedding annaversary- best gift to my wife in last 23 years !!

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious car 3 paeople can be accomodated very easily on the rear seats - with good leg room for both front and back passangers.  comfortable  airconditioning, tiltable steering wheel.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very Smooth engine, Gear shifting is very fluent I had taken a test drive for 3-4 cars like ford Figo, Beat, Swift, Micra , Indica vista, Chevrolet Aveo-UVA - But Punto is class apart.

Ride Quality & Handling Very comfortable ride quality, stable on the raod,- don't feel like coming out of the car.

Final Words Everyone who is looking for Hatchback , go for Punto- you will enjoy the precious car!1 and feel proud to be owner of one of the best looking car!!

Areas of improvement The rear winow is beat smaller than usual, so find it difficult while reversing it- alos don't understand the logic of having a single side reverse light !!

Great Looks, very nice suspension, excellant stylingsmall rear window, placement of Horn on the

Exterior Beautiful looks , quite stunning actually.i fall in love with my car every morning when i see it.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very comfortable seating , love driving the punto , can drive for hours without feeling any discomfort. put the seat down, lower the steering and drive like a F1 ferrari.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very smooth engine , gearbox , fuel average of 16kmpl in mumbai. 20+ on highways. once the turbo kicks in after 1700 rpm~ its a rocket. the turbo kicks in so smoothly.

Ride Quality & Handling Super smooth ride quality, best suspension i've experienced in India , handles like a F1 , incredible handling on curves at high speed , feels like i'm driving a ferrari . glides over the worst of mumbai roads (believe me , mumbai roads r baaad).

Final Words I'm going to now buy the 90bhp linea or punto(variable geometry) or if they launch the 1.6. Tata motors(concorde) service is excellent in Mumbai.

Areas of improvement Need to launch 1.6 diesel in linea.

Looks sexy , Very good fuel average, excellent suspensionnothing i dont like abt my Punto

Exterior Excellent design n truly Italian, Bold, Beautiful, Manly, turns head everywhere u go.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Great features at the price esp. blue n me, even stearing mounted controls. The polo which i first considered buying does not have these. Also other features like automatic climate control, electrically adjustable rear view mirrors, leather stearing n gear knob which the punto offers are absent in the polo on the topline variant which costs 1 lakh more. Space ok, but the pedals feel a bit awkward projecting too much towards you, forcing to pull the seats backward, n this gets the stearing out of reach( u dont have a stearing reach adjust as in the polo) and also compromises on rear leg space. Some plastics could have been better on which the Polo scores over. Another dissapointment in the punto are the speakers, the sound was horrible and though the brochures mentioned 6, it had only 4, that too the cheapest ones in fact made of paper, n I had to get them replaced.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is undertuned I guess, does not give the performance of a swift with the same engine, and the extra weight and turbo lag adds to this. But the fuel economy is good and the car has good driveability, goes in 5th gear at as low as 20kmph. The diesel polo which I test drove also had mediocre performance, made a lot of noise n vibraton levels where also higher.

Ride Quality & Handling Punto is class leader in this segment when compared to other cars like the swift, i20, polo, micra which I have driven. The wider 15 inch wheels does the job which no other cars in this segment offer. Road grip is very good. Handling is precise n great.

Final Words An excellent choice in the segment when compared to the pricey polo or the girlish micra, a good alternative to the i20 or the very common swift. But the aftersales and service backup is something I fear, though with TATA backing up this time.

Areas of improvement Aftersales, and pls provide a good pair of speakers.

Design, Excellent ride quality n handling, road grip, features, Solid built qualityPerformance, speakers

Exterior The Punto has an extremely streamlined body and is easily the best looking hatchback on Indian roads today. Its sporty looks often makes heads turn.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The Punto is quite spacious with adequate leg space and enough of boot space to carry luggage for a vacation. The multifunctional digital display gives useful information like: mileage, no. of kilometers the car can still run with the fuel in the tank, total km. etc.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very smooth running and sounds very much like a petrol engine normal speeds. It is very fuel efficient also. Though the Punto is a heavy car, it still  manages to give me 16 km per litre in city drive in Delhi. Recently, I took the car to Chandigarh and on the highway it gave me 20 km per litre with the AC on all the time. Pick up is quite good with my old version : 76 bhp engine. With the new 90 bhp engine it must be even better. As it is a heavy car, it may be slightly slower than other hatchbacks but the accelerations is still quite good. As long as you are not interested in using it in the Formula 1 racing it is fine! Gear changing is easy. I have now driven it for more than 25,000 km and its giving great performance.

As far as maintenance is concerned, Fiat has a tie up with Tata and there are plenty of places you can get your car serviced. The old impression that Fiat does not provide good service does not hold true now. In any case, regular servicing is require rarely because it uses synthetic engine oil which requires replacement only after 15,000 km. For me this translates into only one service per year which is very convenient.

Ride Quality & Handling This is perhaps the single most compelling reason why you should by the Punto. The ride quality is best in class. It simply gobbles up the small undulation or small potholes on the road to give a smooth ride. Even at high speeds it is rock steady. During my trip to Chandigarh I often drove at 100 km per hour but the vehicle remained as steady as it is at 40 km per hour. In heavy traffic, it is easy to handle with an extremely soft and responsive clutch and extremely good brakes. A very good car for both city driving as well as driving on the highway.

Final Words The Punto diesel is a great car. My advise is: If you are planning to buy a hatchback, DO NOT  take a final decision until you have taken a test drive on a Punto, specially the diesel model. You will be bowled over when you take the test drive.

Areas of improvement Probably the plastics. However, I am not sure as these may have already been improved in the current models. My car is now more than one and a half years old.

Great Looks, Superb ride quality, Sturdy body, Roomy interiors, Smooth and fuel efficient engineSmall rear glass pane, large turning radius

Been on lookout for a Diesel in the budget of 5.5 lacs , only choice were Swift / Ritz / Figo .

What I did not like of the above said cars:

Swift: Long waiting period and too common.

Ritz: Shape puts me off, never did a TD even.

Figo: Good Package overall but Build Quality + Interior were a big NO for me, TD a Punto 90HP and liked the overall feel of the car, Turbo kicks in at 1750 and Punto is eager to zoooooom.. inner plastics were better than Figo but no comparision to i20.

1st gear is too short and is just to move the car, 2nd gear is also short but not too shot, good for Bumper to Bumper traffic, 3rd has amazing pull after 1700RPM and 4th also had pull in the range of 1700 - 2500 RPM , 5th is purely for highways, Amazing car and great VFM package , Great Engine , NVH levels are very acceptable.

      Go for it.

I bought Punto in Nov 2011 and done 5000 km on it and loved every bit of it. Intially I thought it would be difficult to manoeuvre in city but till date I am comfortablly driving on city roads. On highways you can feel the comfort levels and ride is amazing. The road grip is one which gives the sporty drive and you feel the drive. 100% I recommend this car but request the Fiat to improve the service levels.

For driver and front passenger the legroom is very comfortable. The instrument panel can be easyly reached. The smoothness of the car gives a feel of 20 KmPH less than the actual speed. I drove at 120 KMPH and felt verymuch in control. The breaking is very responsive and ABS adds to it. The instant mileage is one feature which i liked most. It is fun knowing what the consumption while driving. It has all the information displayed in the console which is very informative. I still need to test it on Ghats and c how it responds otherwise I am satisfied with Punto.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very responsive, Drags on the 2nd Gear.

      Ride Quality & Handling Excellent.

      Final Words Love it.

It was time to buy another car after we sold off our old zen.researched a lot n 0ed on this car. Got it from banarsi dass autos, panchkula after lots of research. Driven other cars in this seg 4m beat to i20 diesel.

Best part about this car is its external design, handling, decent fuel eff(16 in city,19-20 on hw),hydraulic power steering does nice job, very comfortable car especially 4 long drives, big car feel, longest car in segment(only smaller than fabia), solid built, aero dynamic, hispeed handling(80 te lagda 60 ae), nice curves,3rd gear acc is better than swift n so is the turbo lag, braking is good, pothole handling is superb(felt more jerks on same road with vento), car sticks hard to the roads in all speeds, doesnt make u feel tired after long drives, u want to push it further everytime, sweet soundin turbo, decent boot

now coming to the cons, noise in cabin after 3k rpm,gr8ly felt need of a 6th gear on open hiwayz, pickup bit less,jk stock tyres not upto mark,no all side central lock 4m drivers side, auto lock, rear visibility, very large turning radius may be prob in city, gearshift is a bit harsh, tata after sales and service, one touch roll up n down 4 passenger side, only one reverse light, hav to turn off n again on the ignition once the engine turns off in traffic(car does not stalls though),1st n 2nd gear r very short,3rd is quick..so r the 4th n 5th,gc may b a prob as i often scrape it,also fiat should hav used nice solid japanese turbocharger.

but these cons or negatives r actually not too acute or extreme.so far had extremely overwhelming experience with this car.go for it blindly.u wud not regret...but one thing for all who drive diesels.....dont drive it like petrol..neva eva.i hav done 3.2k in 4 months, driven many diesels as well.once around 2k kms on odo, started driving it hard like accelerating hard upto 3.5-4k rpm in each gear as i dont hav much experience of driving n m 21 nw(frustrated, careless n drive in hurry, bit sho off) n after that had sudden drop in pikup n mileage as well...got 13.5-14 4 sumtym n also the car pulled badly.did'nt feel to overtake vehicles on the hw. felt like there's a 200 kg load in my car or as if its runnin wid handbrake up..went ser. centre also but he took td n said sahi toh hai bhai..dikkat kya hai?...i said hav been drivin it 4 2k kms n neva felt the same...but sumtym l8r as i changes my drivin style, such probs vanished.now its ok.same prob was there wid my friendz endy in delhi...he sold it early after that.so, diesels are not meant to b revved too hard be it punto,i20 or even endeavour..only hi end ones like bmw, audi should be tried 4 that purpose..not even them..cuz it reduces engine life, mileage n performance.diesel engine has longer life if maintained.alwaz use ioc normal diesel n dun put water near air filter, turbocharger or intercooler while washing.hav seen innovas done 6-7 lac kms.but newaz punto is worth a buy so dun think much n invest into this macho hatch.

Also one thing..i hav calculated that:

      Pertol mileage=12-13 kmpl n assume diesel has 15-16. per km ruuning cost=4.81 for petrol n 2.58 for diesel which  means diff=2.23rs per km..so for 1000kms bucks saved by diesel=2500 approx(2230),for 5000 kms=12000rs,for 10000kms=24000 or 25000,for 12000kms=30000rs,for 15000=36000.

which mens if ur yearly running is 12000, u save 30000 by investing in diesel n 90000 in 3 years.but if its 10k or less,u hav to drive it fo atleast 4-5 years to recover the cost+extra maintainance of diesel car(need more care and cannot be driven like a petrol anyhow..)

      So think before buying.

External design, handling, decent fuel eff(16 in city,19-20 on hw),hydraulic power steering does niceMing to the cons, noise in cabin after 3k rpm,gr8ly felt need of a 6th gear on open hiwayz, pickup bit
