Review :- I booked the Emotion 90hp Diesel on October 2013 . Before booking the Punto I researched a lot of hatch back diesel vehicle. Finally I choose Polo,I20,Punto,Fabia and Swift. Am a big fan  for Fabia , but I heard that Fabia is going to EOL soon in India , so I dropped it. Then am little bit confusion between Swift and I 20, both are good vehicle ,but when I drive them I find out that they are not STEARDY vehicle at all. Both has very light body compare to Polo and Punto.  So I dropped both. Now  I have to choose between 2 P’s ( Polo or Punto ). Both are very good looking , very steardy vehicle ,good road grip. When I drive both I enjoyed a lot. Polo pick up is better that Punto. Handling skills and ground clearance part Punto is the best . I have go through lot of research in web site and users , then I came to one conclusion that Polo after service and spare part are too expensive and it has very less ground clearance. Finally I booked the PUNTO 90 HP emotion . Now a days Fiat came out from TATA, Fiat will provide end to end sales and service. Now service is better that before. Exterior It’s a pretty old car but still its rocks in exterior look compare to other cars. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features are really good, it has blue and me technology. But compare to space, it’s become little bit difficult to sit 3 people in back. Comfort wise its really good, no lag at all. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Supper fine engine with silky smooth sound. Now I drive  9000km (75% highway 25% city  with 100% A/C @22 ). Am getting around 15 km/l on highway with speed of 120+km/hr. I tested at 90km/h on highway with 100% A/C I got around 21.7 km/l amazingly good. In city condition with A/C I get around 11-12 Km/l. Gear box is average compare to polo. Final Words Just take a test drive then decide your self .Good looking, Good Style,Road grip,Ground clearance.Average interiors ,less space.

        • The Powerful Punto Sports 90HP
Exterior The car looks too cute from the front side. Its the best beauty I ever got.  Back seems less sexier than front but looks good too. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Nice sporty seat covers, steering cover gives you a rich Italian feel. Odometer display has loads of functions. Amber lighting makes one feel good, dashboard and gearbox area is simple and sober. The inbuilt stereo is good at low volumes but not at high volumes as speakers will not give you nice thump/vibrations. Steering Mounting Controls are awesome with voice dialing via Blue & Me.  The front legroom is not so good for a person above 5'7" tall as one cannot stretch to maximum like other present hatchbacks. Back seats are comfortable but the legroom is for the kids only if all front seats are moved back even 50%. It is difficult for a person to sit at the back for long hour journeys. Dead pedal is a treat to Drivers for long hour drives. Auto Climate Control works good and no need of turning AC on and off again and again. All safety features are good in this hatchback like Airbags, ABS, EBD, Antitheft, Childlock, Follow me, Bluetooth phonebook and calling etc.   Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This car has the best powerful diesel engine one can have in a hatchback. The engine noice is bearable. The fun part in 90HP is that one can feel the power this car can deliver on highways as well as on hills. One cannot feel short of power when you start playing with this beauty. City economy is around 16-17kmph considering the weight of the vehicle. On Highways one can get upto 22kmph because of effortless power provided by the 1.3 Multijet F.I.R.E. Engine. The gearbox is responsive enough for frequent gear shifts but if one needs to fastly change the gears it gets difficult somewhat. Ride Quality & Handling The performance of this Hatchback is awesome in traffic as per vehicle size and comfortable drive as well on highways as you feel more secure as the car acts as a solid vault cruising at high speed. The ride becomes fun when one goes above 2500rpm as this car feels more and more safer when it is driven at high speeds and one will not able to notice how fast the vehicle is cruising as nothing is felt inside like a Cockpit. Perform so well on Indian potholed roads; persons sitting behind will be at ease most of the times as this car can take bad roads like a butter. Take this car anywhere whether in traffice, on highway, on hills or on offroad driving.. You will never feel short of power and the handling is awesome at high speeds, curves, and in traffic. Final Words If you are fond of driving then this is the car to drive in metros for good handling and comfort.  I drive this car in Delhi and I love the way the car responds to the steering which makes effortless driving. Parking this vehicle is also effortless considering small areas in Delhi for parking. I took this car to Delhi Agra Highway and my fiance took this vehicle to 178kmph and I didnt realized until I saw the odometer. Its like a small airplane crawling on the road and the fun begins after 2500rpm, the more you accelerate the more it responds to everything like handling, breaking, feels more safer. I will recommend this car if one loves driving, taking this car on the highway makes driving so pleasing. I love driving cars and this is the best Hatchback i ever drove and I am in love with Punto! I am writing this review after driving 8000km in Delhi and mostly on the Hills & Highways. Areas of improvement   Fiat needs to work on the interiors of this vehicle as seating is all cramped. A better stereo and speaker system would have make this car more enjoyable for long drives. Gearbox should be more smoother for changing gears rapid firely. GPS to be added in future models.      Treat to drive anywhere, suspension, smooth ride and feels SAFE inside.Less legroom (from & back), Crawls <2500rpm and Mediocre speakers

        • Fiat Punto = Fiat Premier Padmini?
Fiat Punto = Fiat Premier Padmini? How is this possible? Can a 2012 car really be compared to a 1970 car? Unfortunately, Fiat has made this resemblance very, very real. Last year, I decided to buy a new car to celebrate my birthday on 10 September. Being an Engineer, I tried all the diesel hatchbacks, and was delighted with Fiat Punto’s lovely, powerful engine and unbelievably affordable price. Sadly, I did not know that this lower price came with a corresponding slump in quality. I still cannot get over the shock. How can a huge, intelligent, international company like Fiat re-enterIndia with this shockingly disappointing product? They dare to advertise it, expecting all Indians to be as stupid as me? How long can the smart Indian consumers not discover the truth? When I first drove my new Punto home, the left-hand side sun-visor was found to be broken. Two days later, I found that the turning indicator would not switch off automatically after the turn. And I found that the plastic parts inside were as light as a child’s toy. Sometime later, the left-hand side front passenger window fell down. Then the car started pulling to the left even on a flat road. Then my friend following me in his car told me that my Punto’s wheel caps were rotating lopsidedly, and the wheels looked like drunk Jackie Chan. The car was giving me 12.5 km/litre of Diesel. (with AC), much less than the promised figure. I reported the matters to them and requested repairs against their warranty. When the car came back, it seemed fine, faulty parts replaced, and I was relieved. This relief lasted only 10 days. The front left-hand side window fell down again. The car is started pulling to the left again. The radio antenna got faulty and stopped catching stations. And there was no spare antenna available for my car. The car’s fuel gauge would sometimes show empty even when the fuel tank was nice and full. The rear bottom right-hand side light was not working. The front wiper had a clamp missing, which would have scratched the windscreen beyond repair if I had not noticed it. The car went back to the workshop for repairs again. Today, the front left-hand side window doesn't fall down, but the door makes a horrible noise of the glass rattling against metal whenever we close the door. The fuel gauge misbehaves at least twice a month. The rear bottom right-hand side light is still not working. The front wiper still has a clamp missing. The car still gives me between 11.9 and 12.8 Km/ltr. The car’s front left tubeless tyre has developed a crack on its sidewall that cannot be repaired (It shouldn’t happen!). I was advised to buy a new tyre or install a tube in the faulty ‘tubeless’ tyre! Despite my calls, I haven’t got a satisfactory answer. I also asked for a complete refund of my money for the car. No answer. But the Punto has a lovely powerful engine that I still love. Maybe you should buy just this engine from Fiat, and install it in a Fiat Premier Padmini from Mumbai. It could be a good compromise. The EngineEverything else!
