I had taken palio stile 1.6, performance is Excellent in city(with A/C), On high way I drove it on 130 Km/h it's very cool at that speed W/O any vibrations. Engine response is great when compare to the same segment vechiles, Brakes of the car is really good, On 120 speed applying sudden brake accidentally the balance of vechile is superb.
Balance of the vechile on high speed is good.
Over all vechle is designed in the view of passengers safety.

I have 18 years of driving experience, contributing to car average. This is my second car.
I took a test drive, met the owners of Wagon-R, Tata Xeta & Alto and zeroed down to Petrol- Fiat Palio stile 1:1 ,top end model.
My criterion was space for 5 adults, safety, smart looking car with additional features like 4 power windows, rear viper, two outside mirrors,RPM meter ,low running cost and value for money.
I wanted to buy petrol as it can be converted to CNG and have dual switching. The cost of CNG will always be less than LPG, Diesel & Petrol in years to come.
Since May 08 drove 2800 Km. It has given me an Avg of 13Km per liter in
This vehicle is excellent in city (as gear power, correspond very well with the city traffic speed ). Highway driving (as top gear power correspond very well with high speed smoothness). Perfect vehicle for both low, medium & high speed. Meter's max speed is 220Km.
Smart looks, Spacious,Value for moneyPetrol average: little low

Hi all,
I had spent almost 2 months reading about various options to buy a car, I have a santro and this time I wanted to try my hand on diesel. There are three option depending on my budget Palio SDX, Swift VDi,Indica Vista.
I tried the test drive on all three.
I finally zeroed on Palio , My experince with the car are:
1) Better driving experince: Lot of peaple say that swift gives better driving experince, but i felt other wise.In swift the negotiating with pot holes was different experince, in palio you will hear only a thud of biggest pot holes.Indica i couldnt drive on such road so cant say much.In Palio (although the dash is of older version ) the control are driver centric (i liked the idea) however this thing is completely missed out in Indica (only god know why they have put the cluster in the middle of the dash).
Lot of review say that Palios dash is a completely let down and a from older generation , but for me it should be functional , although its design is older but it provides better ergonomics then its competetors.
However there are 4 different colours of plastic used in the interiors and this was a surprize for me.
2) Airconditioning: the airconditioning is goods and chilling to the core, and switching on the AC doesnt effect the engine performance.
3)Performance: totally satisfied with the performance. There is no lag and once the turbo kicks in there is no looking back, the car cruises to 80-100 effortelessly and still looked hungry for more. The response to the trottle is goods and I had experinced this in all three cars however i felt that in swift there was some lag initially and vista felt a bit bulky.
4)Mileage: I got 17 kpml mileage and 60% of that was city driving, and AC was on most of the time,
5)Comfort: the seats are comfortable , the feels of the car and the suspension are of top class , I high speed also the sense of studiness is there.
The car is a good car.Palio is a top selling model of FIAL worldwide and is rated on of the best in the class.
There is lot of concern regarding the after sale service ,I feel that after tie up with TATA this would improve.
In one review somebody has said that the chassis is 8 years old and it should be reworked .Come on cant you same thing to maruti, the classis case is esteem chassis.
I took inputs from the Palio owner and apart from the after sales service pain point everbody said that its a great car.
I had taken trest drive of all 3 and then I listened to my heart & took PALIO.
After clocking 500 I can only say that its a goods car.

Move over Tin Cups here is a solid steel car which looks good. The moment you drive out this car, you know your are being watched. The car is a head turner. Even while parked a few will take a full walk around the car.
Inside the care feels solid build. I trust this second car to be safe for my family in place of a so many flimsy options that are around.
The interiors are spacious. The fabric on the seats could be better.
The engine on 1.1 SLX responds slow, but seldom knocks on slow drive. Make it a good city. The electronics are fiat class, good and innovative.
The car is loaded and value for money. It you are buying a car, take this one out for a drive. My personal favourite , though, is the Stile Sport 1.6 Ferrari Red.

Recently I took the test drive of Fiat Palio SDE model, the overall rating to the car is very good, Great picup, good looks ( exterior) and super pickup, the drive was noise less. I really found this car great in power no noise in the drive, the space is too big in comparision to any small car.
The only thing i found the gear nob is bit slugish as compare to Hyundai cars, also there was a sound whenever i apply the brack, may be it was in that model but i found a strange sort of sound ( Not much but the sound was there).
The complete drive was in city and not on highway but i am sure but I am sure on highway you will love to drive such car.
The other thing i found bit laid back was the interiors of the car. Fuat should put some efforts on this esepetially for palio. I have seen there 500, but that car it great in looks (in every aspect).
Now I am dicy which one to buy a Palio or an i10 or a santro

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) To the price, interiors are Good, Spacious, Good Luggage room, V Good Seat Spoonge Quality, Good Plastic Quality, Comfortable ride in city as well as on long drives.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox One shd know how to make use of the techology this FIRE engine has. It's got a superb torque band. Never to cross 3000 rpm & see the fun of V Good fuel mileage & also of driving at 3rd gear even at 20 kmph speed. I got a high way fuel economy of 17kmpl in mixed condition (AC & Non AC). And I got this while on cruising on 110 KMPH speed on HYD - B'lore super highway. Means, we can take as 18kmpl without AC & 16 (or may be 15.5) kmpl with AC on.
Ride Quality & Handling No need to say Palio is a racers Favourite. All mischief is included in the package.
I was the only person ahead of all cars during my recent trip to HYD. It was raining heavily but still there was no need to reduce the speed. Awesome Roadgrip.
Final Words Go forn it guys, rather than going for toy cars like Santro/Wagon/Zen or even i-10 . Sad that Fiat India has screwed the market of this car unnecessarily.
Areas of improvement Good marketing of this car by knowledgeable persons, who can explain the customers on various advantage this Battle tank has over other plastic cars.
Superp Road Grip, Very safe, Confident driving, Ample Space, Nice Interiors, Good fuel EconoInitial pick up less (but compared to Wagon R, Santro, Zen..It's Good), Boring Speedo Dash board
