I was one of the few who was very excited when Fiat Linea was introduced in india and bought in 2009. The admiration and the service was excellent for the first one year.
Thereafter the service was pathetic. Right from cleaning to checking the quality of service, the Tata service team was not bothered. For minor scratches in my car service engineer insisted on wax polishing, but even after the polishing the car ooked the same. Similar to others after 25k kms i was asked to change not only brake pads but also the disks.
A/C was not effective and they serviced it and now I get frequent noise from the engine when the A/C is on. Service people say it is normal, but i haven't heard this noise in the first 1 year.
The worst thing in svice is the spares availability. Iwas made to wait for 1.5 months to get thespares from Pune once. When Honda and Hyundai can get the spares within days it takes Fiat to acquire it for months.
Now i have completed 3 yrs with this car and still I love it, but it is a nightmare whenever I need to take it for service.
Wake up Fiat, it is not late yet... Otherwise you will completely loos the market to Skodas/Nissans/VWs in the hatchback and sedan segmant.
