Exterior The car has great looks and curves and is a stunner .😊

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interiors are spacious.There is ample leg room and the seats are very comfy.Had there been space for keeping bottles,it would be better.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It gives average milage for its class.The Gear box is smooth and glides from lower to higher gears.

Ride Quality & Handling It offers excellant ride over bad roads.Speed breaker clearance is less but much better than Honda city.

Final Words A good buy for long drives with good handling even at high speeds and uneven roads. I have driven the vehicle thrice from Bangalore to Kerala and the drive was great.There was very little driver fatigue and family had lots of space to stretch inside.I did have problem initially with my airconditioning but it was resolved by Prerana Motor staff at Peenya.They have been giving good support and following up with me.

Areas of improvement Provision of reverse parking indicators and turn indicator lights on side mirrors would be welcome. It also needs to increase clearance to suit indian roads in relation to speed barriers.

It was a great buy as I could buy Linea and Nano in price of Honda City, next acceptable alternative. Dash board is practically use less to keep any object. An improved will add to user value. I am not able to find engine oil grade / trade name despite repeated tries.

I bought my new car day before yesterday from bu bhandari pune. I haven't driven it much yet so can't really comment about performance but I'm planning to take it out on a long drive soon. I must say I'm quite pleased with the service I received at the dealer. They were quite professional though may not be as polished as someone in the hospitality industry but that was not my expectation any way. Overall the car buying experience was quite happy.
I bought a reverse parking sesnsor (from the dealer itself) as an accessory. I think it is useless as it beeps even when there's nothing behind the car for miles :-)
The car doors are not very smooth to close, Sometimes it needs extra power to close them properly :-)

Update (9/12/09)  -
I drove the car from Pune to Mumbai and back. I didn't go over 75-80Kmph as it’s a new engine and so got an excellent average of 17.
The rear head room is less. There is no place to keep water bottles which is little inconvenient.
The car shows instant average which is very helpful as it helps make you a better driver. The trip average, trip time etc are good features as well. Blue and Me is very very helpful and good to impress others :-) The voice recognition utility is nice as well.

The ground clearance is little low but not worse than Honda city. I once slightly touched a high speed breaker when going little fast over it. It gives you a sinking feeling in your gut when you hear a noise from below your car. But I have been there before with Indica and Honda City. I now take care when driving over speed breakers.
The pickup is not as good as some other cars in the same segment but I was only looking for a comfortable car which I can drive peacefully and gently and this car fits the bill.

Good style, good presence on the road, loadedlow ground clearance especially when carrying 4-5, door closing

 

Exterior Great looks, I own a white Linea Emotion Pk, it looks wonderful and I feel that in any parking lot, it stands out as it is bigger than most other cars and looks great. 

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Wonderful features including climate control, rear ac vents, good quality plastics, and most importantly very comfortable in city as well as long drives. Love the bluetooth and steering controls. 

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is decent, fuel economy not so great - but it may be because new cars take time to improve fuel economy. I hope it improves once I have driven over 5000kms. Smooth gearbox, and extremely silent cabin, engine noise is non-existent.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Very stable at any speed, ABS brakes work best whenever car is turning while stopping, or wheels slip. Very comfortable on long drives. 

 

Final Words Like the car, and i recomment anyone looking for a good sedan which is worth the money, its a car with costs of an entry level/Mid sized sedan but features and comfort of a luxury car.

 

Areas of improvement Mileage, peppiness of the engine at higher speeds. Lower speed performance is ok.  

 

Love the features and looks - top variant has everything that a luxury car would haveLow on mileage but the other features more than compensate for it

Its only Gods blessing that I am alive writing this review. My Fiat Linea that I purchased from "Pandit Motors" had been driven only 24,000 Km when its engine failed while I was driving on Express Highway no 4. The car suddenly stopped responding when I was in fast lane. I was only lucky for not beeing hit by a sppeding vehicle following me. My car suddenly stopped responding without indicating any prior signals, on the middle of the road, I somehow steered the car to the road side. At that time in all 5 adults and 2 kids were in the said car. At that time there was not heavy traffic and therefore I could move the car to a safe location using manpower, and saved the life of other six persons. This was a nightmare for all those who were travelling. I kept on wondering what would have happened if the vehicle would have stopped this way when he would be overtaking and if a heavy vehicle would be approaching him from front. My  family would have met an unfortunate untimely end for no reason. It would have destroyed two families instantly one that of his uncle and other that of me.

Thereafter I contacted Pandit Motors for inspection of the car and emergency repair service. After five hours, the mechanics arrived at the spot, however, to the my surprise the mechanics failed to identify the problem and towed away the car to the showroom at Tilak Road Pune on the very same day.

Since then and till date I contacted all of the concerned parties including Fiat maotors, Tata Motors and Pandit Automobiles by telephone and by email and for all the times he has asked you regarding cause of failure. However all of them had suppressed to disclose the exact cause of failure to my client. The works manager at Pandit Automobile had conveyed his inability to disclose the details saying that it’s confidential. The Area officer of Tata Motors had conveyed that he cannot put the reason on record and the Customer care officer of FIAL (Fiat India Automobile Limited) cooked up a reason after repeated requests from my client.

These incidents raise suspicion in my clients mind regarding the actual cause of failure in the car. Thereafter the reason for failure that was conveyed to me does not require such long time to be identified and repaired. I am sure that the cause of failure reported at the end by the FIAL officer is not the only problem in the car, and till date they are hiding the actual facts for the fear of market reputation.

Due to your negligence / manufacturing defect, I have suffered heavy business losses, mental agony, reputation which cannot be compensated in terms of money.

I went to have TD of Linea Petrol at Sterling Motors NOIDA on 14/02/2009. Thwe very well welcome me spend time with us. The Red and Grey car were on display and were looking fantastic.

Sales person demonstrate the car very well and we view that many young couples were comming to view the Linea and to have a TD of car. Most were for Diesel car but we went for Petrol car.

We taken a TD on Petrol Emotion car. The car looks big comfirtable. And as other have sugggested I did not find excelleration as bad other reviewere have said. It was good. We tested around 10 KM. I tries to rum slow and fast.

Noise : There was a noise in the cabin when I accelerate the car. Since my current car is Maruti 800, I do not know whether this is a genuine noise which comes in every car or it is in the Linea only. Can any one tell me what hppens when we race the car, does noise  of engine/types comes in cabin? If this is so then it is OK other wise this is bad thing in Linea.

Otherwise Linea is beauty and I am 90% going to buy this car with Emotion Pack model.

Areas of improvement Lot needs to improve in terms of quality parts, safety feature. it was a shocking to see engine coming down, dealears say the lower pannel is crakced, but there was no accident, infact  the supporting nut bolt got cracked.how can this happen??? I think this is very serious matter and some one has to take responsibility. No proper response regarding the cars condition since last 03 days.

Car got services 15 days before this episode took place, also the dealer told me that linea has recalled there AC and they are fitting a new one for selected custormes. any ways thats ok.but i m afraid to drive this car any further even though they get it repaired. what is the safety of my family when they sit in it.

Final Words One should NOT, I repeat NOT buy this car even if the company offers it for free. I am repenting having bought it and have no other choice but to suffer for the rest of my life with this as the price I have been offered ( a two year old car) is Rs.1.6 Lacs only!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My eight year old Santro also has been offered the same price!!!!!!!!!! The support given by the company is ridiculous and one of their Dealers - namely ASL Motors at Jamshedpur, Jharkhand have grossly cheated on me by showing that they have done a major job on FOC when my car was at least 200 kms away from their workshop and in a different State ( West Bengal).

Areas of improvement After sales support ! If there is one of course!!!!!!!!

Areas of improvement Needs to improve after sales service specially "Cargo motors" Ahmedabad. I will not recomend anyone to buy this car.there is no gurantee that you can get the spareparts or get your service done. The staff dosent have the knowledge about the car.i think its better to purchase a maruti or hyundai car than fiat.i had given my car for repairing on 20/07/11 but still have not got the car its approximately 5 months and the company cannot give a fixed date for delivery.think twicwe before you buy this car.they dont even give you another temporary car to use and wont respond to your phone calls.the employees dont have a proper knowledge about the car.they cant find out what is the problem with the car.they dont even bother to check whether the car is ready and serviced properly.it is a shame on fiat that having such a good name for its car and still it cant fulfill the basic service what a customer requires.
