Exterior Amazing style. Sure to turn heads. A number of my friends and clients from overseas have enquired whether it is an import or very expensive car. Very much resembles Maserati. Every time I see it waiting for me to take her out for a ride, a Smile breaks on my face.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Reasonable interiors for the price. Good seats and cabin layout. The rear seat space could have been better, and is little uncomfortable for 3 adults on long journeys. The centre console could have been better, but no complaints, is reasonably well endowed. Sound quality of the stock system is also very good for an average listener. Need for immediate speakers upgrade - NO Need for speakers upgrade in Long Run - YES, Lots & Lots of features for the car costing close to INR 9.0 Lacs OTR.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is reasonably good. Never felt the car to be underpowered while driving in the city, however while on the highways it does take an effort to go over 110 - 120 km / hr. Initially the car was giving an FE of 13 - 14, after 6000 odd kms, it has been giving me 17.5 - 18 Kms./ Ltr. (With 100% City driving. A/C On - 80% of the time), Gearbox is pretty well configured, never feel the need to change gears frequently. Smooth trasnmission.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Superb. Feels so very well planted on the road and absorbs all the bumps & potholes with ease. The hydraulic steering provides good feedback of the road. Even while short sprints, handles exceptionally well while weaving in & out of traffic.

 

Final Words An awesome car for the price at which it is available. Intend to keep the car for atleast 5 - 8 years if not more. Has got everything that one may need. Very good FE, Smashing Looks, Good comfort, Reasonably priced spares & parts. Those looking for power and a diesel engine might want to look at Chevrolet Optra / Cruze, but as an overall package, Linea comes out Trumps.

 

Areas of improvement Maybe just the Rear Seats need to have more space and a little better seating arrangement. More aggresive advertising from Fiat and availability of more Fiat Merchandise.

 

Amazing Style, Great Fuel Economy, Solid BuildRear Seat space.

Exterior It is okay.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) This car has lots of features,headroom for tall persons in the rear seats may be a problem.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine sometimes sluggish.Fuel economy is decent.Gearbox is sometimes hard.sometimes very hard to put into 3rd gear.

Ride Quality & Handling Handling is one of the things i like.you can throw it around corners confidently.very fun to drive on highways.

Final Words My car was in the service center for two months for replacing the engine.My engine had lots of complaints. Two liters of Oil in the engine would finish up in 200kms. Glow plugs would malfunction. It took them a month to replace the glow plugs. No spare parts available when needed.Once my cars clutch didnt come up, it was stuck and I was parked in the middle of the road. Just imagine if it was my brake. I pushed the car onto the side with some help.

Features,handling and brakes.Service is terrible,no spare parts available,frequent problems with engine.

 

Exterior - Marvellous looking Sedan, best in India, awesome colours, colours availabel in T Jet mut be made available to other variants too.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)- Space somewhat crampy over front, no bottle holders in door [space provided is useless], excellent features especially Mycar, no remote for music system.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox- Gear shift not so smooth, gives 16kmpl in city with automatice climate control, very low engine on the inside, superb on highway, a masterpiece.

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent, extremely smooth on rough roads.

Final Words - Great engineering going wasted by poor marketing and service; really feel sad for all those who have worked so hard to bring such a masterpiece; one of the best examples of excellent product gone wasted by poor marketing.

Areas of improvement Aggressive marketing, Own sales and service; it's really a shame for the company when everybody is taken away by the car but then asks where is it available?, never heard of this car? never seen any showroom etc.

Exterior Awesome Exterior, looks to die for, a sure head turner.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features- Superb, Stylish, & at the same time Advanced, Won`t find even one unneeded gadget.

Space- Good in the Front, little bit less in rear, 3 persons & u might feel cramped.

Comfort- No Match, at another level, Front rear anywhere & everywher..its super luxurious, might feel like seating in a BMW or some thing.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine Performance is gr8..& par  ne other. car in its segment.

(can say that having driven SX4 Diesel & Manza)

Doesn feel like driving a diesel car..awesome pick up once turbo comes into play.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is also good & Handling is gr8 too specially when taking speedy curves.

Final Words No matter wat the other reviews say, I liked it a lot n m gonna go for it.

Areas of improvement Increase  legroom... been here long enough time to establish now for fiat.

Exterior The outer vision is awsome and I got fida on this Italian desigin on the first site.It looks sturdy and strong fro external view.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interiors are nice with ample leg room in front and for the rear passenger.what is great is the information system its awsome.The audio system is of high standards and well match with the interiors.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is great once it strats kicking in.its some what sluggish in the first gear(so are other cars in the segment) but second gear and so on the engine is well responsive.The gear box is nice (cant say the best) and fuel economy is good (12-13 in city and 18 on highway with full AC). I have driven almost 56000 Kms and with minor problems which got taken care in warranty by Fiat.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good and it is easy to handling the car.

Final Words Overall linea is fantastic package form fiat.This car was my choice after test driving VENTO (old style with weird interiors looks weird I can say), Verna (never loked and over priced), SX4 ( No where near linea, only thing selling this car is Maruti so called reputation).

Areas of improvement Fiat Repuation improvement (own/exclusive FIAT service center would do that)will give boost to this car which is  fantastic product by fiat.

Best Lokks in segment, spacious, smooth to drive, good fuel economyOnly one and its improved leaps and bound Tata service

Exterior Shows royality. Very good side looks, alloy wheels are stylish.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious, comfortable, flexible, rear vent is good, driver seat height adjustment is fine, driver seat arm rest is very much comfortable, facilities are satisfied, door safety alarm and service indicator alarms are good and helpful.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Pick up is slightly low, fuel economy is very good, gear shift is good.

Ride Quality & Handling Soft handling, fun to ride, very admirable, front view  are not visible,  ABS breaking system is perfect, tyres are broad and its good for rough use.

Final Words We really enjoy having fiat linea diesel, Value for money, Good for long drives, good ac, Boot space are very very sufficient, without any hesitation lont drives can be taken with family or friends etc. Finally fabulous

Areas of improvement Ground clearance, pick up, no service points in vellore.  worst music player, no usb options, front view  model can be changed.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Well designed and comfortable seats, front and rear that aid in fatigue free journeys. Rear seat knee room is good for an average height (5'9"ft) person like me, with a cossetting effect that has me dozing off there very easily. Poor standard music system prompted me to upgrade to a more powerful Pioneer amp. with larger speakers from the accessories shop. Love the steering controlls which still work well even after 24000Kms. Classy instrumenntation that look great in day and night. Good gadetary for the money, but 'hi-beam' adjust should have been a degree higher for fast night time highway crusing..

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 

Love the torquey nature of the engine, specially during steep hill climbs, where the Linea with load can out pace some better powered petrol sedans. Very good fuel economy for such a large and heavy vehicle, specially on the highway and also the hills. I achieved an average of 17.9 KMS/Lit on a tank full to tank full measure on a trip to Gangtok from Guwahati with average speeds of 108 KM/Hr on the flat stretches with the AC on 99% of the time! But the gear change does  baulk sometimes which is irritating at low speeds and when driving in stop-start traffic condition. Upto speeds of 120 KM/HR the engine sounds OK, but feels a little strained beyond that.

Ride Quality & Handling

Excellent, well damped ride comfort specially at speed, though sharp bumps can be heard but not felt. The vehicle handles with such poise and controll which inspires confidence. I'm always amazed at the speeds at which I am able to attack the twists and turns on hilly roads with the vehicle conering flat and no tryre squeel. Mid turning bumps and pot holes have never been able to throw this vehicle off its track.

Final Words

The great combination of the torquey engine ( once the turbo kicks in), and well controlled handelling were let down by the poor ground clearance specially when I hit rough partches of road or scraping the under carriage on higher than normal speed breakers, where I would have to reduce to crawling speeds. I managed to overcome this by fitting 16 inch alloy rims and having the suspension raised by another 2 CM's. Overall a well engineered, well built vehicle that is sadly let down by the quality of after sales service. I was charged Rs. 4000/- by their Guwahati based Dealer - Ghosh Brothers - against an engine oil change at the 3rd scheduled service,  but this was not done. At the time of taking delivery the work shop manager just plain refused to accept the fact, so i had this job redone at another work shop at additional cost.

Areas of improvement  

The ground clearance definately needs to be increased. The quality of the gear change needs to be more slick and precise. The throw of the headlights should be a little higher and stretch a little more into the distance since the low throw of the beam is a hindrance to confident high speed driving on open Highways at night.

Great long distance cruiser, with good fuel economy. Superb ride comfort and stability. Solid build.Odd steering Wheel height. Glove bod lid comes off sometimes.
