Well, I don;t own it yet, but eager to own. In theprocess, I have done enough research (on the net, speaking to owners, speaking to old car dealers etc.). Ihave the following viwes 1. If you are looking for a car which will give you POWER,style, stunning looks, space, safety, great ride, comfort and you don't want to pay more than 6 lacs odd (well after the discounts), please don't think twice 2. If you want the above and looking for a fuel economy of more than 10kmpl in city with a/c on, don't waste your time and don't evaluate this car. (Please note fuel economy greatly depends on the driving conditions and the locality where you drive. The above and below mentioned figure is only an idea and based on some user feedback. Hence actual fuel economy may differ) 3. Having said that, tell me which cars with 1.6 litre, DOHC engine gives you more than 10 in city (Mumbai city) with a/c on. Let's look at the cars in the catagory. Accent, gives about 9-9.5, Ford - gives about 7.5-8kmpl, Optra, gives you about 8kmpl, Baleno gives you about 10kmpl and the Honda City VTEC gives you about 9-10kmpl. All thes cars will cost you approx 1,00,00 - 3,00,000 more than the adventure. 4. Having spoken to many owners of this car, they have only praises about this car. They confirm a fuel economy of about 9kmpl with a/c on in Mumbai city. Worst being 8kmpl and best being 10-11kmpl. On the highways, if you drive this car at around 2500 rpm, you will get aprox. 13 kmpl with a/c on. My friend who owns an Indigo petrol, gets 9kmpl in City and 11kmpl on highways. 4. What do you get in this price:- Fully loaded with Power Steering, Power Windows, central Locking, Adjustable Steering, leather wrapped steering wheel, gear knob, Allow Wheels, 4 fog lamps, tubeless Pirelli tyres, Rear defogger, rear wiper, front bull bar, twin roof rails...hmmm lot of stuff. 5. What is holding this car to become best seller. I should say perception of buyers. Let me tell you that my experience with the delaers has been extremely good (Wasan Motors, Anuroop and Fortune Cars). They are quite responsive and very well mannered. I have cheked with the existing owners, and they say they have no issues with the car and the after sales service. The spare parts costs have also come down drastically due to localisation. 6. Finally, I spoke to FIAT India's Sales Person. He assures that they will not commit the old mistake of poor A-S-S again. I can understand, as winner Palio which was one of the leaders in the sales figures in the hacth back catagory in early 2002 went bunk due to poor response from the dealers. And mind you, there is the new generation Paio on cards and about to be lanched in this September(Most probably) 7. Tata-Fiat tie up is really taking off and I guess there is not much reason to worry. My verdict, if you can keep your perception oriented mind aside and think performance and quality and want to mix it with lot of driving pleasure, this car will help you win.Great Space, Comfort, Safety, Pick up, Ride and Handling, Great LooksNot so good interior

First I owe Fiat Adventure sports 1.6 and by Choice. 1. If you are professional or businessman and put SAFETY of family first then think of FIAT/Skoda 2.If you have to drive on highways then think of FIAT/Skoda Now my experience with this vehicle. I earlier owned a Wagon R as well and this time I was back to FIAT again. - Adventure is very comfortable to drive.you feel very safe on highways or on any fast moving roads. The pirelli tubeless tyres are wonderful and with 1.2 tons steel ( car weighs 1.2tons) they simply move licking the road.Great drive!! -the ground clearance is 190mm and this gives wonderful mobility. On speedbreakers,potholes,back- breakers !!the heavy suspension +pireli tyres makes you feel very comfortable. The car is able to manage speedbreakers and U turns with great ease.Excellent on this aspect. -The space is huge for 5-6 luggage and a family can plan to take a lot of stuff on vacation. - At night with all the lights on,the steering area looks like a cockpit of aircraft.Overall very good in this aspect.( so many features on lights, beams that difficult to write). - The power and torque is unmatched (1.6 ).In Delhi when the traffic is very slow I can still manage to drive on 3 gear while on Wagon R had to use 1-2.The use of Clutch is very less and one doesnot need to use it except changing the gear as the car can easily drive at lowest level on 1/2/3 gear!!! amaging. No knocking sound !! -Apart from the looks the car is best value for money you pay. Fiat is providing fully loaded car (1.6!!) at such price( 6 lakhs on road). Just because FIAT was not doing well it was price like that. Now with TATA taking over sales and services the things are improving fast.We expect a total turnaround.. -The spare parts are very cheap and available at all Tata showrooms.Service has improved dramatically now. -NOW the most difficult topic: Fuel efficiency: a)A lot depends on how you drive and usage of clutch and gear change etc.In cities the gap between the best mileage cars( Maruti) and FIAT gets reduced thanks to the less clutch usage in FIAT. b)With Full A/C one can expect 10 -11 Km/lt on using 3-4-5 gears. On high way it around 12-13-14 But on highways the difference will increase between Marutis,Honda city and Adventure... But then on high ways SAFETY is more important!! c)On dead traffic like Bangalore/Mumbai or Moolchand flyover in Delhi or Gurgaon stretch one can expect 8.5-9.0. If you live in DELHI and want to combine SAFETY + superb MILEAGE then Put an CNG kit.....No car can suit better than adventure (with such heavy suspension and huge boot space) for CNG.. within one month( I was told by dealer)the approval for CNG kit will come and TATA dealer will start provinding CNG option with warranty!! overall great looks, tough vehicle, very Safe, good comfort and style.....fairly okay mileage( compare to its class)... Regards Sunil SharmaTough and best suited for indian roads, very safe, amazing drive,Style and comfort for the priceinteriors though are good could be made better

I am on the endge of owing this car!!!! And the same goes with my line. What valuation you can do with your dream car!!!!! Mind you, you don't see adventure taxi, you dont' see adventure driven by a professor and you don't see adventure standing on the road!!!! You see FIAT ADVENTURE when you turn your head to see this wild untamed beast passing by silently and impressing you while your neck finally decides to tunr again to see all the crowd (Maruti Zen, OPTRA, FORD and autorickshaw's) If you know your style, you are proud of being there where you are in your life, you want comfort and want safety for your family and earn enough to maintain a car then why waste time on evaluating ADVENURE? People say, it becomes simple while evaluating...What is simple by the way? Simple is, when the light goes off, put on generator and the water tank fills!!! Simple is not filling buckets and caring them to the 3rd floor from the gorund floor tap..right? So when all the FIAT PALIO ADVENTURE OWNERS are giving good reviews, the car is seen (if not in abundance) on Indian roads and TATA FIAT dealership is promising you everything than why you want to invest your quality time in EVALUATING!!!! I mean if you know that your time has QUALITY!!!(Try reading in between the lines before you feel offended...) GO FOR ADVENTURE, if you have the time to read my article, dead sure I am, you have that style and concern for the person you are....Can you value A DREAM ?Can you afford your imagination ?

My family and I had to balance our requirement of a utility vehicle and practicality in Bangalore traffic, and we were excited to discover that the Fiat Adventure fit that bill well. We instantly liked the estate with its high ground clearance, Pirelli tyres and sporty attitude. At around 600K ex-showroom here I believe it delivers enough bang for the buck. If you place safety, comfort, lifestyle and unique road statement over mileage and economy of operation, then I recommend the Adventure. We narrowed our test drives to Ford Fusion and the Adventure before buying. I liked the Fusion for its better start-stop performance and eagerness in the1st-2nd gear region. The Adventure seemed to need more prodding in that region unless you revved enough, but I worry a lot about guzzling so that was out. I liked the Fusion's interiors better although the appointment seemed to be marred by cheap looking surfaces. The Adventure's interiors were a plain disappointment, and so was the instrumentation with all analog readings. We were especially surprised that Fiat would not give any thought to essential utilities like cup holders and gadget pockets for the outdoor utility appeal it tries to generate for the Adventure. We loved the Adventure for its superior ride quality though, as we took a test cruise on a patch of dirt and pockmarks. And I simply adored it when I discovered that the Adventure had plenty of room at the 3rd-4th gear positions. It came into its own with the 5th gear overdrive and reminded me of the stylish Subaru Outback I drove in the US.

In the first week of our ownership we took our Adventure to Coorg on a track that varied from great roads to no-tar off-road tracks in meandering hill sections. I liked how it performed, and managed to average 10kpl throughout, with A/C on about 60% of the time. In Bangalore peak traffic in which nothing seems to move, I was rather unsettled by the steady downward droop of the fuel guage needle and can't say I did better than a 8.5kpl with A/C intermittently on. While I vouch that on long hauls I felt significantly less tired, city drive (of the horrific kind in Bangalore) appeared  somewhat onerous at the controls of a 1.2 ton vehicle. But it did feel good to see some of those belligerent truckers making way for us or to see some heads turn around. The four fog lamps capable of shining into the head of the drivers in the opposite direction came in handy to make them realize that they had to lower their high beams in dense two-way traffic conditions.

The side mount bars and bull-bar, all standard accessories, appear as deterrents to the pesky two and three wheelers that want to squeeze into your blind spots.

That reminds me, the side mirros are not very useful to me; even at maximum swivel I have to crouch to peer into them for a full view while driving. And someone also said that the all-terrain Pirellis need rotation at every 5000Kms due to their special tread. We took our bet on this vehicle knowing that a Fiat never lets you down if you treat it well and hoping Tatas will deliver on their promise of a better after sales service.

To sum up, my family and I are pretty happy with our decision and glad that we found a multi utility vehicle for our lifestyle. We plan to take the vehicle on long drives to better utilize what we perceive are its 'intended uses'. We think it is a great performer and looks and feels great.

Unique road presence, good suspension, steering, build, serious offroading applicationdisappointing interiors, instrumentation could be better

I am driving Adventure from last one year. No problem for spare parts you get it easily available at the dealers also one more thing i will like to bring to notice that the spare parts of fiat are of excellent Quality and hence they do not ware out easily unless and until manhandeled by some road side mechanic. Its the story of the past that fiat dealers were not offering good service but now I can say that Fiat service network have improved very much you can expect a better service from Fiat then other competitor. The car is excellent there is no doubt about it for six lakhs u get everything ie power style and safety what is most important in a vechile, but safety is still ignored by majority of people in our country as every one thinks about mileage All I can say is Jaan Hai to Jahan Hai !!!!!but believe me if you drive this car with care you can get a decent fuel efficency. There is a great news that Fiat will be offering a retrofitted CNG option for Adventure but its been delayed due to some reason and will be available shortly with all Fiat and Tata dealers. So keep fingers cross and wait major of the mileage problem will be solved once fiat starts marketing Adventure with Cng options. All i can Say. Regards, Amaygood safety sturdy vechiel at high speed and very attractive and eye catchybad interiors low resale

Just bought this car..(Formula Red) after tons and tons of research. The final 2 were 1.6 Adventure and Ford Fusion. I picked the Adventure because of bettery safety feel and style. The Car is a stunner...people give it a long stare whereever I take it. I am shocked that Fiat India is not promoting this fantastic machine. In fact a lot of my friends and relatives didnt know that this model existed Its high time they promote their machines in a better way ...get a better ad / PR agency !!

It has been a little over a month since I own this car. My rating for the over all experience, which included fuel economy, dealer service, car performance etc is 10 out of 10. The car has not given any problems whatsoever since the time I have bought it. The dealer resposne is excellent (I bought it from Wasan Motors, Tata-Fiat dealer). The car is made for Indian roads. You need to ride it believe it on rough roads. Loads of space and head turner (definitely) on the roads. I have got 9.3kmpl average till now. Out of which 25% is on the highway run and 75% is city run. All with 100% a/c.World Calss Suspension, Safety, Ride, Handling, Great LooksPoor Interiors
