What is it?
You sure must have come across many magnetic mobile holders for the front passengers. But have you ever come across one for the rear seat passengers? This Magno-R mobile holder is one of those few magnetic mobile holders that has been specifically developed for the car occupants at the rear. With the help of this device, one can have a hands-free mobile experience in the second or, even the third row of seats.
What's in the box?
The compact carton packs in the Magno-R mobile holder with two coin-sized metal pieces with a 3M tape. Made of ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic, the Magno-R is said to offer good resistance to extreme temperatures and chemicals, hence giving it a long life. The internal part is made of a scratch less silicon mat to prevent any scratches to the headrest rod. Even over a period of a month of our testing, neither the metal pieces rusted nor the robust plastic holder showed any brittleness.
How to install?
The image above shows how you can ready your phone/tab for it to be used with the holder. Just stick the circular patch onto the back panel or cover of your phone. This is essential for the magnetic holder to attach to your phone. The image below is again self-explanatory on how to pull up the head rest facing the rear passenger and lock the holder on the steel bar. As simple as it gets. We checked this on a different range of car models and none of them had an issue in accommodating this holder.
How does it work?
Once this installation is done, you can simply stick your device to Magno-R’s magnets. And it sticks well. Interestingly, our phone fit snugly even with the cover over the metal. The magnetic force is strong enough to hold the device in place even over rough roads as the device never came off or fell. The holder swivels at the ball-socket joint giving a lot of flexibility in placing the screen at any angle.
Apart from its primary function of holding the device/tab, the Magno-R can also double up as a hook to hold a bag. We hung a 3kg bag and it held up without any issue. This implies that carrying small grocery bags, handbags, water bottles, coats etc. is a cake walk then.
How much does it cost?
The Magno-R comes only in the black color and is available at Rs 599 through online and offline stores. One can visit their official store online to order one. Its compact size, robust build, strong magnet and flexibility make it a good package. It’s one of the most effective solutions for holding a mobile phone/tab in the rear seat. One can then sit back and watch videos/movies or read. And all of this completely hands-free!
