Surprised by Redigo

I wanted to buy second car for my wife and an automatic. We considered alto, wagon r, celerio, i10, tiago and ignis. Ignis and tiago were best but budget was an issue so took test drive in redigo. I am 6.2 and found space to be great compared to alto at par with celerio. Size might not say but very spacious. Drive is smooth in terms of amt gear change. Jerk level similar to ignis so big plus. It also had remote locking, Bluetooth phone and basic music system. Was also available with zero down payment. Noise levels are high and cost cutting very evident inside. Build is very light. We were also extremely concerned about reliability but anyhow bought it. Now after 21000 km in 8 months and one road trip to mussori all apprehension gone. Service people are prompt and it came with 5 year unlimited km warranty and three year roadside assistance all in 4 lakh on road. We have a ciaz as another car but this is favorite in family for city use. Very comfortable, spacious and handy. Service cost of 2700 per service and mileage is constant at 16 to 16.6 in city and 18 plus on highway. One issue is small petrol tank results in multiple pump visit. All in all I love the car for no nonsense Performance and convenience. There are no rattling sound even after such light build quality. Brakes and handling are matured and never feels out of power till 100 kmph on full load. Post 100 it feels uncomfortable and doesn't inspire confidence. Gear changes will need light foot and are delight without any noticeable head nod. If considering an automatic under 5 lakh this is a strong contender.
