Exterior Very GoodSuspension needs to be looked into as it is very good during smooth drive but causes disappontment on sudden encounters with potholes. Handle for co-passengers and a Glove box is required for keeping important car documents atleast.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Nice, Driver side handling of passennger window is required urgently.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very good , Fuel consumption is 16-17 kms on NH.

Ride Quality & Handling Very good upto 70 Kms, but a little pot-hole can mess it all when crossed abdruptly, it produces a ;arge bang as if shockers didnot absorbed it.

Final Words Great design and performance except at NH, where it produces big-bang on encountering a pot-hole.

Hi All,

I bought Datsun Go T on 2 may, I have Alto K10 and drove Waganor. The power of Datsun is really good. I wanted this car for three main reason 1. Value for Money, 2. Power 3. Space. I am tall guy so I wanted a car which I am easily seated.

I understand the this is not a car for thoes who give think CAR should Look more than what it can Performance

Pros:

• Engine Performance
• AC
• Suspension
• Stearing is very light and become stiff according to the Speed of the car
• Seating Very Spacious if compare to same segnment car

Cons:

• Cost cutting can be seen in Interior
• Safty features are less

Car has met my expectation as I wanted a car under 5lac. If you have driven Eon its beautiful but power and Space nill. Aulto 800 does not have any. Waganor has less power and Space.    The car which which chalenge to this car is Celerio however its price is bit high.

Power and Value for MoneyInterior

I was doing research for my first dream car for past 2 months. initially I had a plan to buy DATSUN GO and tried to compare its feature with other models in its class. I also had a strict budget of max 4.5 lacs onroad price tag. But i really could not match with any other models. I looked for key features like power steering, AC, Front power windows, average music system, good mileage and pickup. This is the only car fulfills my requirement.

I requested for a test drive and within two days the dealer send a test drive car to my office. Since I am a beginner in car driving I requested my friends to do a test drive. One of my fried was 7 feet tall (best person for test drive :) ). I requested him to do first and we three sat behind. Once he started the car boommm it picked up well while 5 of them on board and with full AC. the first comment i get from him is super smooth steering which he never experienced in any of the car he driven. As he throttled up like a race car we could hear noise from back of the car as its pushing limits (there is a lack of sound proof). AC is very good and everyone was very happy on the overall performance.

Finally I take my chance to drive in a free road and could feel the pickup, responsive breaking and bit harder gear shift.

Overall DATSUN GO is the king of all cars at this price tag. And I booked my first dream car next day :).

Superb Styling, You can makeover it with its vast range of its accesories, in total you can get handosme deal in 4.5 lacs with some essnetials add ons.

If you are comparing with this car other 1.2cc you are at good place in low price. you can increase you budget from purchasing Eon, alto 800 and wagon R. If you are looking at resale value those people can never think of other then Maruti Suzuki. Well perfroming Nissan Engine, fuel economy also suits middle man's pocket. All in one its a car next garage. One can get the title of BRAND NEW CAR buyer by purchasing this machine.

Engine perfomance The Go uses a 1.2-litre, three cylinder motor that produces max power of 68bhp and 104Nm of peak torque. At start up, the engine feels a bit noisy and viby, but it settles down quickly. The clutch is light and progressive, but the gears though feel a bit sticky are precise to slot. On the move, the Go feels confident and offers ample power. However, at lower revs one needs to downshift to gather momentum. Despite that the hatch touched 140kmph on the highway and still had some juice left. Datsun claims a time of just over 13 seconds for the 0-100kmph sprint. The engine has enough grunt to allow for quick acceleration that's helpful in pulling off overtaking manoeuvres when the need arises. Moreover, at these speeds the Go remained planted on the road which a testimony of its dynamic stability. But as revs climb, the noise of the engine penetrates into the cabin and is quite audible. A little better NVH package would have been certainly good and added to the wellness factor. The well-weighted steering is convenient to use, but at high speeds it offers decent feedback to induce confidence in the driver. A turning radius of just 4.6 meters makes it good for city use. The ride is comfortable and rough patches are soaked up relatively well. Moreover, despite having three people onboard with luggage, we crossed a couple of large speed bumps without scraping the underbelly, which means the 170mm clearance the Go offers is good enough to tackle Indian roads.

In the T variant you can add some accessories to make it full loaded and stylishPoor door quality, too noisy while closing and opening. rear power windows.

I bought Datsun Go (T) in the month of APRIL-2014 and have driven 21000 KM till date. Recently I have been for a long drive with full load  along with my wife and two kids to about 3000 KM one way and enjoyed the drive. It was fun filled drive and got the fuel average of 20 KM/ltr through out my trip.

It gives a good driving comfort and even the passengers also not complain for any discomfort throughout my trip. I am fully satisfied with my Car.

I can say this car has few things which i feel need to add in their coming version such as connection of safety door for back doors and connection of cabin light along with back doors. The lid for the dashboard is also needed.

For those with small budget planning for Big car can easily go for Datsun GO. Its really value for money.

look wise 5stars for chrome grill frame,datsun logo,stylish headlamps,muscular front face.Rear tail lamps looks good,rear broad bumper feels like swift.sheet metal of body very thin for cost cutting and reduce the weight by datsun and weightless doors make noise and requires more effort to close the door,door beedings or insulation material failed to make the car sound proof..door locks making iritating rough sound when closing the door..cheaper glasses used in windshield and windows of the car.and one thing i really i dnt knw why nissan giving single rear reverse lamp bulb wen they having a provision of two lamps right and left.pros are more than cons. but i reviewed more about cons.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

power window driverside not goes down automatically by pressing twice,and not able to oparate front co-passenger side window by driver side.it makes a problem to open co-driver side window when you drive a car lonely.and also holding handle missing for front passanger.quality of plastic used inside is great.design of dash good.document keeping box cover is missing,front jointed seats is good for keeping laptop,bags or seating childs.leg room space is normal..boot space is really best in its class.seat comfort is not upto the mark.music amplifier given is good but the two speakers are poor cant taking the full power.the computerized mileage calculator and fuel gauge is not accurate.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 

Engine is 1.2l petrol engine gives good pick up,my vehicle crossed 500kms 5th gear goes in 40kmph without jerk.reverse gear engages bit roughly its not a big issue for new vehiclesi got 17kmpl without a/c in first 500km as vehicle run engine gettin free after 1st service it will reach 18-19kmpl in highway. dont hesitate vehicle is giving good mileage.shifting gear 2nd to 3rd i faced engaging problem twice. now there is no such problems,engine vibrates in idling even silencer vibrates. silencer bit noisy.

 

Ride Quality & Handling

steering is smooth while parking the vehicle or in city drives,when vehicle speedups the steering goes heavy,but i feel rolling like sound by front wheels in sharp turns in 60kmph at ghat sections,but vehicle is in control,braking is good,suspension is not at all smooth compared to other japanese companies HONDA,SUZUKI Etc.its damping in pathholes and sounds bad and unsafe for vehicle.

handling - 10/10

really excellent car in its price..

but nissan people really have to work in vehicle service sector by increasing service center in every small towns,every 70km in National highways and customer satisfacting quality of service and maintanance charges.indians require good quality product as well as good service warranty for the same product.

 

Areas of improvement  

1) body sheetmetal quality.

2) insulation of doors.

3) 13" wheels looks small change to 14".

4) door lock rough sound while closing the door.

5) vibration of engine in idling .

6) suspension system.

Exterior Nice looking car.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious, comfortable, position hand brake is aukward especially if you have long legs, the rear seat and boot space is luxary.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Power ful, perform good at lower gear as well, disappointing fuel economy at present.

Ride Quality & Handling Over all good experience but vibrates more, full of power.

Final Words I am not a auto expert but  as an customer i am very much disappointed with the current mileage which is 9 km/lit , though the dealer says it will improve with the time, i dont feel so, drove > 300 km and purchased almost 20 days back. other things cant make up for milage as this was the prime factor for choosing this vehicle plus some other good claims.

Areas of improvement Mileage, vibration in the vehicle, position of hand break, the front joint seat is also not a good option to have instead a glove box will work. suspention can be also another area to look into.

Exterior

( + ve) Designed well. Good looking when compared within this segment of cars. The rear design is good when seen from 60 degree angle.. I have taken white color and the quality of paint is good. 

( - ve) Quality of fibre used on bumpers is weak, (once it's towed by Gurgaon police and front grill got a diagonal crack, logo emblem became shaky, bumper came out of its grove on left side) 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Dashboard feels clean & neat, ideal layout. Digital display is provided in top model (T) its informative, Connected seat is not of great use, instead a better bucket seat would have been ideal with bottle holder in the middle. Hand brake position is interesting. Space is excellent with amazing boot space. 

(-ve) Major pain point is the external rear view mirror adjustment. No lever provided from inside to adjust it, the left view mirror adjustment is a big problem area and I don't think this should have been considered when cutting cost.  Glove box doesn't have a closure which is a big let down. Left power window control is not on  driver side, another pain area. Major security measure compramised is the light indicator not working when other doors are open except for driver side door. 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

( +ve) Engine being 1.2 litre has good pick-up. I have taken this car to Himalayan destinations like Rishikesh, Shimla, Mussorie, performance is excellent and no lag in pulling. Gear shift is smooth and not much cranky. 

(-ve) Mileage is a huge concern. I have driven 5000 kms now and average I was able to get is just 13 kmpl. Its a mix of city and highway driving. 

Ride Quality & Handling

 Decent ride quality. Can't be great as the tires are just 13 inch and feel bumpy at times. Shocks are good for city conditions but on highway a small road hump or any pothole worth a mention of its size are connected into the body and Nissan should seriously think bettering this.. 

I feel if tire size is upgraded to atleast 165 on a 14 inch radial might bring a difference. ( Stock tire size given is 155 on a 13 inch radial) 

Final Words

A good buy at the current price if looking for a second car or at entry level cars for new buyers. Mileage is a let down, so better be prepared. Can't compete on this front with K-Series engines of Suzuki. Over all a good package.

• Shock Absorbers to perform well above 40 km speed
• Increase in tire size to 14 inch with 165 width
• Provide hand lever for ORVM adjustment
• Provide cover for Glove Box
• Power Window control on Driver side for passenger side 
• Security warning sound and light for all doors when open rather just for driver door 
• Better bucker seat for long drive comfort

 

Segment's best in terms of handling and spaceSmaller Tires, Basic features missing that hurt on daily basis

Exterior Good exterior with shape and style, worst door quality that sounds worst, central locking is not working, I sold this car with in 4 months with the loss amount of 1.5 lac. 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Not comfortable to sit in driver seat and put gear.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good pick up but fuel ecconomy is worst (10kpl), gear shifting is worst than anything, even gear for heavy load trucks would be better than this. 

Ride Quality & Handling Worst experience in ride quality.

Final Words Dot buy this car since zero star rating in safety, better go for maruthi product. if you buy this product then you will defntly sell in three months. I urge datsun to bring changes in this car by getting suggestions for your buyer. really not worth for money. 

Areas of improvement Everything needs to bve improved. purchase a new car with comfort was my big dream but my dream got failed by purchasing this car. I request all car manufactures to do safetey testing before giving to the market. Put safety ratings in your manual.
