Most Helpful Review | Okay choice Driving experience was not up to mark as we compared with Tata Tiago, Maruti and other entry-level car. Internal space was very good however build quality is not up to mark and not safe car for highway drive | Very good family car The car is big, has an ugly grey interior but rides like a dream. The 1.2 engine is nice but not very friendly to racing away. The 1st gear is worthless above 5kmph & 2nd gear is worthless standing still. So in the stop-start traffic, the gears need a lot of work unless you want to listen to the engine wail in 1st gear while crawling.
However, it does have enough grunt to take the highways in 80-100kmph, beyond which the tyre noise is irritating. At 80-90 kmph, the engine doesn't make any sound.
The ride continues to be the best part of the car. The a/c is good but drains a lot of power, esp in lower gears. The blower is silent for the 1st two speeds & noisy after that. But I guess thats pretty standard and the 2nd speed is good enough.

All my friends/family/relatives who have sat in the car have loved the space inside. Its as big as any of the sedans out there from the inside & even with the driver seat pushed back completely, the rear leg-room is just about adequate.

The mileage in the initial period was a poor 8-8.5 kmpl with 50% a/c usage. Quite below my expectations. But it was also used only in mumbai's peak traffic or for short 2-km runs. So I'll give the new engine the benefit of the doubt.

Once they did the 1000km checkup & removed some sort of "speed-limit" i've taken it on the highway & done a few hundred kilometers. I've got around 12.5 kmpl with 70% ac usage with half in the city & half on the pune expressway. So I guess its not such a heavy drinker when given the freedom to rev.

Verdict
I'll give the u-va 8/10 for my requirements. Its spacious, comfortable & reasonably economical. I'm not a rally driver & like to drive smoothly without an adrenaline rush. The car keeps me calm.
very spacious & comfortable, good looks1st gear selection, grey interiors |
