Maruti Suzuki Swift vs Honda City 4th Generation

Here’s a drill down on all that’s good and not so good about our long-term fleet's Maruti Suzuki Swift petrol manual.

This is the latest iteration of the Honda City, a successful three-box sedan still going strong after more than two decades. It's still this fifth-generation avatar introduced in 2020 but gets some more updates. The most important ones are an RDE-compliant engine and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Look closely, and you'll see the elegant exterior design exudes a sportier character thanks to the revised bumpers. These are tastefully done and look like extensions with a carbon fibre look. The grille mesh pattern is revised and there's a new addition of this Obsidian Blue Pearl exterior colour that looks fantastic.

Over the next few months, we will run the new Swift as part of the CarWale fleet. We will spend commuting in it daily and we will subject it to the worst that the Mumbai peak-hour traffic can offer.
