Good Economy of around 14 in Delhi NCR. Do not forget the long traffic ques in the National Capital Region.
A fuel average of 17-18 on highway with an average speed of 100km.
Good looks Length, space the long bonet.. Ample seeting space for five. Spaceious boot area., Satisfactory Interiors...
Overall a good value for money Much Better then the new Honda City...Really economical in terms of buying cost and running cost...
I have done 15000 kms on this car. A/c is really effective. Top speed is 171kms. Ample Head Room, Leg Room. Arm Room.
Rear seats are spacious. With ahuge boot space. Light on weight, very smooth runnning.
Length is really good. ample boot space, head room leg room.
A few more gadgets in the car an improved interiors dashboard can really boost the sales.

10 days back I bought this car. I took test drive of Civic, City, Altis, Laura, Octavia, Cedia, Accord, Passat, Linea and etc. Out of all my lookout is comfortable travel without jerk no matter what the road condition be and less running fuel cost.
Optra Magnum is the best available.
Things we have to sacrifice for this car are EBD, Parking sensors, dvd player, Xenon lamps, Power driven adjustable driver seats, blue and me etc like these little kids play ideas and things.
The seats and seating positions are extremely comfortable to back and neck. The travel is like as in a airplane.
I enjoy my drive and travel in Optra Magnum.

Exterior Great looks with sunroof and metallic colours.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent space and comfort in the class. Features like independent suspensions, Automatic climate control, Bucket seats with lumber supports for passenger comfort. ABS, duel air bags, Alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, Impactproof bumpers (at 8 kmph) are added safety.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good. You can feel the throttle response. Fuel economy is bit a concern but you can get 14-15Kpl if you drive around 80 /90 consistentely for the cars having VGIS engine. Fuel economy drops above this speed. However people opting this class neednot cry for lesser fuel economy. You will find other cars of this class/segment with similar fuel efficiency. Gear shift is smooth.
Ride Quality & Handling You can feel the suspension response and clearly distinguish from others. Its awesome. Great road presence. I drove on express highways and hills/ghats. I never felt any problem in maneuverability of this car on sharp turns. It negotiates them easily.
Final Words Overall a great ownership experience. Poor resale value but its and advantage for used car buyers. If you stick to the maintenance schedule then you wont land in trouble of costlier repairs. Service and other miscelleneous maintenance cost is approx 6K/year.
Afterall it depends more on how you maintain and handle the car. Remember its a machine and it needs care.
Areas of improvement NA.

Exterior
The exteriors of the chevy optra are one of the best in its class.. This car is a show stopper and catches ur attention at ur first sight. The only downfall is that this car has a lot of parking problems because of its size.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Great interiors. Loads of leg room and even 4 people can adjust themselves at the rear. Cramps are not felt even after 4-5 hours of long distance journey.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
A very powerful engine. If u know to tame the beast underneath its hood then u r in for the ride of ur life. Fuel economy is not what u want to look out for in this car. it hardly gives u 10 in the city after 3 years.. Gearbox is sporty and smooth but becomes hard and heavy after couple of years.
Ride Quality & Handling
Road grip and control is good on this car. But tyres are costly and need replacement every 2-3 years.
Final Words
Nice Car when u buy it.. But consider it as a long term investment as u wont get any resale value afterwards. Also service and spares are costly. Even the lightest of the servicing may cost u min of 5k.
Great Styling, Powerful Engine, Excellent Road GripExpensive spares and service, low mileage, Poor Resale ValueExterior/Styles

I bought this in aug 2007 by september of the same year had replace the timming sensor and timming belt. then in feb 2008 had to replace the wiring harness. Then in july 2009 I had to replace the timing belt for the 2nd time and the water pump.. I wish i knew more about this car before i bought it.. I have had nothing but problems I would never recommend this car to ANYONE..
I also had to replace the headlights within the 1st year and the check engine light was always on for no reason.. this car is nothing but JUNK..
I also had problems with the wipers they would stick and then fold into each other on one road trip I had to replace them 3 times in the middle of a snow storm.. I ended up going with one wiper shorter then I was supposed to use as i was tired of the wiper breaking off. I reget this purchase daily.
I rated performance and value for money as a 1 star as i couldnt put 0
the only good thing about this car is that it had a decent size trunk space and was a comfortable car for drives.
lots of room was able to fit 2 car seat in the backengine is horrible..
