With kids growing up I have been scouting for a good 6 seater car/MPV and with that in mind tested Maruti Ertiga, Nissan Evalia and now the Chevrolet Enjoy. I have tested only the Diesel variants given that was my fuel preference. Here is the good-bad-ugly of these three vehicales.
The Maruti Ertiga is a car that can do no wrong and Maruti has understood customer needs very well. The car is priced right, looks decent and has sufficient space (albeit the third row seats can best seat two small kids). The Diesel has significant turbo lag and at low revs the car is very sluggish. My main complaint with the Ertiga is space - while ok for short runs with a full load (6 passengers), for ong runs it is a challenge.
The Evalia is much more spacious than the Eritaga and I quite liked the exterior design though others might find it a tad van-like. The car drives smoothly and has ample power. Seating for the middle row is good and the sliding doors make it a breeze to get in/out. On the pricing front this is the most expensive car in this line-up. At this price, customers might be tempted to put in an additional 10% and go for the much bigger (and better?) Toyota Innova.
Lastly, the new car in town - the Enjoy. I liked the style here. On size, it is bigger than the Ertiga and slightly smaller than the Evalia. The Enjoy Diesel is a real treat to drive. I enjoyed it so much and it almost drives like a petrol car. On pricing, the Chevrolet is hard to beat. It is the cheapest car here and at Rs. 9.7 Lacs (Mumbai - on road), it is very good value. The space is just right and except for the access to the third row seats and small (R14) tires, the car is excellent in every other department.
Overall, I would rate the Chevrolet Enjoy at the first postion, the Ertiga next and Evalia as the tail ender.

I bought a Chevrolet Enjoy 1.3 LT 7 on June 2013. To my surprise vehicle has been giving me trouble from the very first day. It clocked 4000Km now and this is just the 5th month. Vehicle was with their service centres most of the time. It had more than 10 break downs during the period. I had written to Chevrolet India and their local dealer in Kochi to get replacement for the vehicle. But they are not responding to my correspondences and requests. The vehicle is in totally unreliable condition.
Issues in detail for your understanding I felt the cooling issues (A/c was blowing out hot air only) and noted the engine sound inside the cabin the very moment I got the delivery. Few days later, vehicle started moving in a very low speed (10KMPH). It works normally for the first few kms on cold start. So I have to stop vehicle every 5 kms for 15 minutes to reach somewhere. Their service centre at Kottayam, Kerala claimed that the issue was due to the failure of fuel injection system with the vehicle and they rectified it. Unfortunately the problem (low pulling issues) persisted after covering 500 KM. After 2 days, the service centre delivered the vehicle claiming that the faulty component had been replaced and vehicle was performing well. But after running a very few KM, I saw the engine light glowing accompanied with the pulling issue and the same abnormal sound from engine. Again with the help of local people I pushed this vehicle to a house nearby and returned back to my hometown in another taxi. The vehicle was sent to service centre as again. After one week, service centre delivered the vehicle again claiming that vehicle is performing well. This cycle happens every time and I don't know what to do.

Exterior Typical MUV- more like a van, nothing to write home about....ertiga is better in looks department, but surely better than Evalia.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very much spacious for the price point, the middle row arm rest adjustable, theatre like seating, third row more comfortable than Ertiga and Evalia. Serious omissions are, no second seat folding for third row reach, no arm rest for third row even in the door side.Rear AC is not great as claimed, Tiny ORVM spoils the show.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine similar to 1.3L multijet form FIAT(infact it is said that both are the same). Is pretty refined and have decent performance; although feels slightly under powered when fully loaded. Gear box typical Chevy unit with so much travel, but easy to use and lacks any vibrations. Milage is around 18KmPL as claimed by the company.Engine is better at mid ranges. Feels relaxed at 70-80 KmpH cruise.
Ride Quality & Handling Handling good and adequate for an MUV, so as the ride. Road iregularities are soaked with ease. Only sharp bumps is felt.Enjoyable ride for a family of five or seven at this price. Bottom and Middle variants are well equiped than top end. The brake doesnt feel as progressive and assisted as other vehicles in this class for the non ABS versions.
Final Words If you want a seven seater vehicle with maximum value for money, and are at a tight budget , also not at all concerned about the resale value of the car, then this is one you should go for. Chevvy should look in to the areas like no arm rest for third row which is a serious discomfort for 3rd row passengers.
Areas of improvement Brake feel in the non ABS version, arm rest atleast at the driver side is needed in the third row, a bigger ORVM should help things better, also 15'' wheels would be a better addition.
Captain seats in the third row for all 7 seater versions, third row better than ertigaPoor resale value of brand, small ORVM, brake feel in non ABS version, no arm rest for 3rd row.Exterior/Styles

Exterior Excellent and look wise, its much better then Ertiga and Innova, it has very decent look. Compared to other vehicles like Duster or Xylo or ertiga, Enjoy has very decent look,
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent space and looks, roof ac is addition feature, power windows, dashboard is normal, but worth for money. 6.4 laks on road compared to other cars. like i20 with is 2+3 seater this is much more best option. 2nd and 3rd row seating is very comfortable and easily accessible to 3rd row.
A well priced 7-seater MPV. Priced on par with C segment sedans Compliant low speed ride, matched to neutral on-road behaviour 1.3L diesel offers excellent urban driveability and fuel economy Compact size & light controls make it easy to drive in the city Equipment list includes leather seats, dual-airbags, ABS, EBD, dual air-con, parking sensors etc.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent pickup and control on the road. Since its a rear window the pickup is very good but it takes few seconds to catch up the speed. Capacity of Tank was huge it can take 45 litres.
Areas of improvement Sound in 2nd and 3rd gear need to be improvised.
Excellent space, third row is very comfortable..even 6.2 ft person can sit confortably..roof ACnone at this point time apart from a small sound while picking from 2nd gear to 3rd gearExterior/Styles

Exterior Good no issues at all.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) 100/100 if u are a family of 7 or even 8 the car takes all with ease without any complaints.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I drove 900 kms pune to jalgaon same day from morning 6 till night 0000 hrs - didnt face any issues at all.
Ride Quality & Handling You feel safe and comfortable - not a car to be taken at speeds higher than 100-110 kphr.
Final Words Its value for money if u are looking out for a good family car- unlike ertiga and all other so called MPVs to get safety u need to pay extra (much much more) u cannot sit in the 3rd seat in any other vehicle. You CAN comfortably in Enjoy.
Areas of improvement Maybe fuel economy? and ESC feature if they introduce at say 25k more..this will be the best buy!
Interiors- I found no issues wth that.

Exterior
Given its price tag, exteriors are good. Way better than Nissan Evalia. Tata SUMO, Bolero look generations old. Ertiga is fresh, but its Swift family look is too common now.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Its cabin is among the biggest in Rs.7 Lakh segment. It has low groung clearance than most of peers, but more height. Also, many of the peers do not offer middle row with 2 seats, that make car more spacious that others.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Its similar to FIAT's MJD of 1248 C.C. But GM engine is slower than FIAT's Diesel power plant. Feul economy as showroom people told is around 18-19, similar to what most FIAT engine run cars deliver and also what newly launched GM SAIL & UVA pump out.
Ride Quality & Handling
Car feels shaky on bad roads, high speeds and sharp turns. Its very tall height gives space but takes away ride quality & handling
Final Words
Its good over all package. GM cars take time to pick sales, but sustain for long.
Areas of improvement
Tyres profile needs to be changed present 175/70 R 14 spoil ride and handling. It needs 185/70 R 14, bigger but far better for car. Also, BHP needs to be boosted to 90 (from 76 presently)
Low Cost, GM's serviceTAVERA Recall episode to hurt other GM cars adversely

Exterior I Purchased Enjoy LT Diesel model last month and travelled about 4000 Km. From that Experience I will share my View.
Aerodynamic design, Grill, Head Light style is good and Attractive. Attraction to Front look and style is more due to Body colored Bumper with Leaf style Fog lamps. For side Look and Style Body color Outside Door Handles and Body color Outside Rear View Mirrors creates a rich Look. From Bonnet to 2nd door, look is very good but after it is a very average Look. Rear Light assembly and centrally mounted stop light is nice.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) For me the best feature is SPACE, COMFORT & PRICE. Some other features are very Good such as:Full marks for Comfort and Space. Leather seats are of good quality and are comfortable even for longer journey. For me 2nd row is most comfortable. Driver can adjust his seat height along with adjustable steering wheel. For SSPPAACCEE…. No problem at all. Legroom, Luggage, Roof height lot of space. All rows are very comfortable and spacious as compared to Innova and Ertiga. Even taller passengers are comfortable in any row.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox For 1.3 L Diesel Engine Pickup is Excellent. I traveled with 7 passengers and some Luggage through different areas including Hilly areas around Pune, Harsh and Rough roads of Rural areas etc but no problem of pickup. Fuel Economy or mileage is affordable. Initially I got 15 Kmpl. Now near to 18 Kmpl. No noise at all in Gear box. Gear shift is soft but sometimes there’s problem in shifting from 4th to 5th gear.Ride Quality & Handling On highway, plain roads riding quality is superb. For harsh and bumpy roads it’s good. Though small wheel size but no problem for sharp turns or curves. Always I go to my village where roads are very bumpy but I never faced any problem due to low Ground Clearance.
Final Words I think Chevrolet Enjoy LT Diesel is a complete package for new starters and medium family. Mostly Enjoy, Ertiga and Innova are compared but I think in such price of Enjoy you get leather seats, CD Player with USB, AUX, Fog lamps, keyless entry, Rear AC vents, Defoggers for rear and front glass, Rear Wiper, All power window, Central Locking, Reverse Sensors, Multipurpose 12 V Power Outlet in Third Row, On Board Diagnostics(OBD) and many more features which is impossible to get in such a low price in Innova, Ertiga, Evalia.
Areas of improvement Lot of Engine noise, Front seat Armrest, Rear design, more choice for exterior colors, problem in shifting from 4th to 5th gear, for rear seats there’s no place to keep bottles and front cup holders are placed in wrong place, Chevrolet must increase Workshop or Service station network.
Spacious, Comfortable and Good Reasonable PriceEngine sound, Rear Design.

Exterior
I BOUGHT MY CHEVROLET ENJOY LT 7 FROM GEEYEM MOTORS CHALAKUDY AND I LIKE THE STYLE AND IF WE CONSIDER THE AMOUNT WE SPEND ALMOST DESIGN IS SATISFACTORY. CHEVY CANUPGRADE THE BOXY DESGIN ESPECIALLY AT THE REAR
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
I DROVE AROUND 1000 KM IN BETWEEN MY SHORT VISIT OF 7 DAYS WITH 7 + PASSENGERS AND I FEEL THE SPACE GIVEN FOR 7 IS QUITE COMFORTABLE. FEATURES IS ALSO NOT SO BAD IN THIS SEGMENT. THOSE WHO ARE EXPECTING MORE LET THEM GO FOR HIGHER CLASS OR SEGMENT LIKE INNOVA OR TERRANO, AND LET THEM PAY MORE
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
I FEEL THE ENGINE PERFORMANCE, FUEL ECONOMY AND GEAR BOX FINE EXCEPT A HUMMING SOUND FROM THE BOTTOM. I CHECK WITH THE EXPERTS AND THEY TOLD ME MOST OF THE REAR WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES MAKES SOME SOUND EVEN IN THE HIGHER SEGMENT LIKE INNOVA.
Ride Quality & Handling
IF WE ARE CONSIDERING THE PRICE OF THE VEHICLE AND ITS FEATURES IT IS GOOD. YOU KNOW FOR "HONEY YOU SHOULD PAY MONEY" IF YOU ARE EXPECTING A LOT JUST PREPARE FOR A BUNCH OF SAFE KEYS WITH ENOUGH "MATERIALS" INSIDE.
Final Words
