Exterior I purchased the '14 Cruze 1LT from a distant dealership. Had i of known the quality of this vehicle for 21k, i would have went with anything but GM.
The mileage is OK - in todays day and age, they're all similar. The quality inside seems like "Made in china" should be hanging from my mirror. I've owned the car for one month and have had three plastic pieces inside the car replaced.
1 week after purchasing the car i find out there is a "stop-sell order" for all 2013 and 2014 Cruze's - AWESOME!
When I told GM I wanted to upgrade to the 2LT they advised I come in for an appraisal, they then offered me 60% of what I paid - 30 days later! Careful guys, this car is depreciating at a rate of $280/Day.
Overall, never would recommend GM, will never purchase GM again, too bad these things didn't happen four years ago and this company could have officially went away for good!

Exterior Good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good, rear space bad, comfort - ok.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Little noisy but good responsive. average, gearbox - good.
Ride Quality & Handling Good, handling very nice.
Final Words Nice car, value for money in this segment, with very good power, comfort , looks and overall a good package - seems like most of the reveiws keep on focussing on after slaes service - guess GM should sit up and take notice of this important factor keeping in mind their reputation.
Areas of improvement Better music sytem, more leather (or) high end soft PU usage on dash board and door panels. better quality tyres - this is a dampner in this car ! boot space o lines of skoda laura.better head light bulbs (white), more ground clearance, oil chamber is in front and prone to getting damaged if car hits a bump/stone, so need to be careful on this, maybe this can be pushed higher.

Exterior Enteriors are good, muscular, sprty, the front grill is the highlight... Its great when compared civic, it is more spacious more stylish, its speedomrter is the highlight in its interiors.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors r good, not as goog as jetta comfortline but best at this price point, not the best music system,no usb bluetooth...
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is great, the new improved engine is like a rocket on wheels,it has great fuel economy, the gearbox is good , provides smooth shifting, however the engine makes a grunt when it started[qite common in diesel variants].
Ride Quality & Handling If u want a car a bit more exciting and a ride that brings a smile on ur face CHOOSE TO CRUZE.
Final Words OVERALL ITS A ROADSTER REBORN.
Areas of improvement IT SHOULD PROVIDE AN INTEGRATED MUSIC SYSTEM WITHOUT 52000 OF PAYMENT,it should provide a full package, its prices should be a bit less,[however they wont agree to this demand as the

Exterior Muscular tough looks, Very comfortable in city,
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Almost all features except bluetooth that is missing in my model.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 15kpl, Performance is awesome, Gearbox is little hard while shifting gears.
Ride Quality & Handling: Exceptionally good.
Final Words Best in class.
Areas of improvement Dealer needs to be promosing. I was promised at time of sale for V-Kool film but they said due to Diwali rush they will do later. And 1 week later they denied that V-kool was not committed. Not expected from Chevrolet.
Genral feedback: I did some ground work before buying this vehicle. Other consideration were Skoda Laura, VW Jetta but both of them has got high maintenance cost. But after comparision Cruze stood to be star performer. I am impressed with driving pleasure and long drive comfort. Thanks to Chevy for bringing this car to India. I hope this comfort continues for few more years. Its been almost 3 months that I am using this car and totally in love with the performance. Great going!

Guys, what you are about to read will give you one reason why you should not buy CRUZE, never mind the fantabulous service quality provided by General Motors (Please Note : I am being Sarcastic here.) And believe me this one reason will be enough. I bet no one will even think of buying this car.
I (My Dad) bought Cruze in 2010 and had crossed 17500 Km. we didn’t use Cruze on a regular basis. During the first week of March 2013, my driver was driving my Dad to Thane from Kalyan, when suddenly in the moving car after certain jerks, the clutch pedal failed to come up, he had to stop the car by the side and on contacting the SC Auto Corporation (Chevrolets Service center located in Thane), they asked to tow the car from the very spot to our center. The car was stuck in gear as well. On reaching there and after analyzing the car for two days, they said that the clutch plate is gone. And the same is not covered in warranty because it depends upon your driving skills. What surprises me is that my dad has been using so many cars clocking each of them for over a lakh km and none of the car encountered this problem. To make things worse, they said they the repair bill estimate is a whopping Rs 79000/- (Pictures Attached) and they said there is not warranty. (Not even for 2 days). Here is an internal gossip, Mr. Aiyazz from SC Corporation told me “Sir, this problem is only in the old manufactured units and the part we have now put is the newly manufactured one, so you need not worry”
THE STORY DOESN’T END HERE.
After splashing Rs 79,000/- , my dad asked me to sell the car. I objected and took the car under my control. Six months later (On 29/09/2013--- Only Two days back), I was with my friends returning from Matheran. Driving down the ghats, I sensed a burning smell from the AC vent, after a few turns, the same bloody shit happened, and I am not boasting here but thanks to my reflex, I immediately pulled up the handbrakes as well as pressed the brakes to put the jerking car into halt. The clutch pedal was not coming up, I could not change gears. I managed to start the car directly in first gear (restarting it a dozen number of times whenever an obstruction in between would force the car to come to halt) and reached home in about 3 hours. The next day, I towed my car to the same SC auto Corporation and the same shitty things followed. Estimate of 70,000/- approx plus taxes.I am stuck what the hell should I do now.
So guys, here is the thing, Cruze is fantastic to drive, a powerhouse indeed.
PRICE : Rs 15,00,000/-
ANNUAL MAINTAINENCE: Rs 80,000/- (CLUTCH PLATE, FLY WHEEL ETC ETC)
(If you are lucky, the above maintainence cost will occur every two years)
RISKS : Whenever the clutch thing happens, there will be a risk of life. But don’t worry, the car has Air Bags.
Happy Driving

I picked Cruze LT in April '11 after takin test drives wid various makes. But what impressed me was the looks, the pick up and the features that Chevy offerd in Cruze compared to its competitors in the same segment. I've completed 5000+ kms. Through wid the 1st service too.My 97% travel in the car was long distance. I loved the drive, the comfort and specially the pickup. This new Cruze has more and better features than compared to its older versions ie the scren size, buttons in the steering,i pod facilty. I also tried the stunt they showed in the Chevy Cruze ad.It actually works... :) "Best Buy in the Segment".
Exterior Sporty look specially the headlamps that looks like eyes of the Rattle snake.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Stylish, Spacious & Comfrotable
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good. The fuel economy is about 18 kms/ltr on highway @ a speed of 100 kmph wid a/c.The noise of the engine is also is controlled as a result of which it dosent feel like a diesel engine
Ride Quality & Handling Very Sturdy and smooth at high speeds.
Final Words Lovley car wid an amazin pickup.I went up to a speed of 160 kmph.very sturdy. Its truely a Diesel Rocket on the roads. Best in th Class!!

Beware of after sales service specially when it comes to after sales service by Nikhil Automobiles.
I am being cheated by this dealer. I have a black Cruz which I bought in 2010. Till date I have driven it around 32 k kms and the problems that I have been facing has almost costed me more than 2 lacs till date. Within 15K kms there was an engine problem which this dealer took more than a month to resolve. After repeated follwups he verbally tells me a quote of 1. 2 lacs and i was in a state of shock. After challenging them that I wish to blog these issues and keeping GM India in loop, the quote came down drastically.
At the time of purchase I was told about three years warranty but when this issue cropped up they told that your parts are not beyond 1 year warranty. They have just not used the service booklets efficiently. Most of the time when car goes to them for denting reparis or any problem they take minimum 3 weeks to repair and instead to resolving the issue they come out with complaints on which you have never complained.
Till now my car has gone for minimum 7-8 times for issues like AC problems, engine work, clutch plates, flyweel issues and denting issues which they take more that 3 weeks to resolve due to unavailability of spares.
The issue is thus two pronged. Bad quality of parts used in the car which has such a high faliure rate and secondly exteremly bad service and non availability of spare parts with Nikhil automobiles along with very bad skills to repair.
This delay of repair everytime automatically ex[ired by service warranty since most of the time the car was always in the workshop.
All in all GM india is using extremely bad quality spares in the car and the service dealer like Nikhil automibile is further hampering the customer service experience.
Hence today before deciding for this car please take into these considerations since the recurring cost of this car is high and reduces the Value for Money.

Exterior
Exterior is average and comparable to any other car in its class.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
This is the USP of the Cruze, it has a great Intrument panel cluster giving it a sporty and modern cockpit style look. comfy seats with decent head and leg room for front and rear passengers.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Fuel economy is good and performance is average and the 6 speed auto transmission is smooth and refined. The car lacks a punch though, a better pick up would have been nice.
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride is comfy, handling is decent. You wont tire in long trips.
Final Words
Cruze is a nice mid size car for a family of 4 but its not value for money. Many of you would disagree with me but not if you know all the facts.
Areas of improvement
Safety is something that is constantly overlooked in India by buyers and also there is a lack of regulations or benchmarks by the government. This allows companies like GM to dump or over price its products in India. I live in Australia and the Cruze Diesel her comes standard with front and passenger airbags, side impact air bags (SIAB) and side curtain air bags, Traction control, Electronic brake force distibution, ABS, Electronic Stability control AND THE WORST PART IS THAT ITS ALMOST RS 3,00,000 LAKH CHEAPER HERE THAN IN INDIA. And there are a host of other features which are missing from the indian version of the Cruze. Basicaly the Cruze in India is a stripped down version of the car it actually is. If you dont believe me check for yourself on http://www.holden.com.au/vehicles/Cruze
The Cruze is a nice car but I recommend that people in India do not buy it, just to teach these greedy foriegn companies a lesson.
Excellant fuel economy, handling, instrument panel, safety*, priceless boot space, multiple design faults, poor quality, battery problems etc

Exterior
awesomely designed, specially the side profile. front is aggressive. i got LTZ in white. super sexy.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
CONS: bad materials used. gear knob gets hot when car is parked in sun... u cant touch the knob or steering... it gets so hot. a.c. is useless... takes over 10 mins to start the slightest improvement in temperature. seats also get hot. space is less, specially back seat. usb port missing!! center armrest could've been longer, cup holders can have a decent cover, as in civic. no vanity mirror on driver's side.
PROS: audio system excellent. cruise control, sun roof, key less entry n start, steering wheel controls, awesomely designed center console.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
this is great, except the turbo lag.... but you get used to it in a few days. mileage is ridiculous. its giving me 8.0 kmpl in city. n not much improvement on high way. i touched 170 kmph. its good and sturdy. good road grip.
Ride Quality & Handling
i am satisfied. only if tyres were of a better make. inner rear view mirror could've been bigger n better.

Exterior The car sure looks good. Driving is also pleasurable as long as the car works.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent interiors. Back seat space is little cramped up, however not so bad. Only sad part is that almost all features are now a days even available with higher version of hatchbacks at much lower cost.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good however is completely unreliable. You will always have surprises with engine maintenance. Parts are way too expensive. Even normal servicing costs a bomb. I had some major replacements in the engine after driving for 30K kms. Fuel economy is not something you should ask with Cruze AT.
Ride Quality & Handling Good. You will need tyre replacements often.
Final Words "No gains without pains" is true with Cruze. As long as the car is working, you will enjoy it however be prepared for surprises & emptying your wallet regularly.
Areas of improvement service.
Best of luck.
