A value for money sedan car, LS model at approx. 6L on road what else we want.
Recently modified and added with features.
Printed antennae, rear seat arm rest with cup holder etc etc.
The drive is smooth, maintenace arrurance by co, warrantly 3 years/1,00,000 km
Shape of the car is best in its class
Other sedan are almost 1 L min. more than AVEO
Would certainly recommend this car, diesel cars are costing more by 70 to 90,000

Exterior is attractive, conferred with the looks of intelligence.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious, comfortable unclustered, simple and gives you feeling king like experience. But the signal switch is disgustingly in the left hand side, and the flasher button (Drive straight signal) is placed far away.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine power is strong, but only a king can effort the petrol it burns. Distressingly uneconomical in comparison to its class. temparature gauge immediately shot up to red mark. Oofs, cooling system always miserably fails and gushes out boiled steams from the air vents. Chevrolet manufactures vehicles but it does not have solutions for the problems of its vehicles. dont believe? take any Chevrolet car and experience yourself. I purchased a Spark LT and repented. again I took an Aveo and repenting again. Blunder after blunder.
Ride Quality & Handling Average.
Final Words I being a former Chevrolet Jingoist would advice not to take any Chevrolet made car. they are good in looks but excellent in eating out brains.
Areas of improvement Numerous, except space.
The boot space is extremely large and good for carrying your professional stuffspersistant problems in AC syatem and the engine temperature rises too high and no solutionExterior/Styles

Exterior The car is quite attractively built & is easily amongst the best "lookers" in its class. The car surely manages to turn a few heads when parked. I won a Black Chevrolet Aveo 1.4 LS and had convinced the dealer to provide me with a rear spoiler. The headlights are extremely powerful and the indicators are quite attractive as well. The "night appeal" of the car gets further enhanced due to the designing & the dynamics of the car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The Aveo is easily amongst the most spacious sedans in its class. The thoughtfully built cup holder in the rear seat also acts as an arm rest. The seats are quite comortable, even for very long journeys. The fantastic cabin space ensures that there is sufficient leg room for a 6-footer. The rear leg room is also quite good. The best feature is the "height adjustment" feature for the driver.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The 5 speed gear box does pack quite a punch and ensures a smooth and easy acceleration and handling even at high speeds of about 140-150 kms/hour. The car is quite stable and has a good road-grip as well, thereby making the overall driving experience quite pleasurable.
However, the car could be a "fuel guzzler" in a city like Mumbai. I drove my Aveo for the first 10000 kms only in Mumbai and was getting an average of only about 9.2 Kmpl with AC. However, since I moved out of Mumbai, I have been getting a minimum city mileage of 11.5 kmpl and highway mileage of 14kmpl. But when compared to the pricing of the car and contrasting it with the other cars in the same league, Aveo 1.4 LS is definitely value for money.
Ride Quality & Handling Fantastic. The pick up though is slightly on the lower side when compared to a Maruti Desire/ SX4, Honda City but on the whole, the acceleration is smooth and the handling is quite good. The car is stable and as mentioned before, a powerhorse with good handling even at high speeds.
Final Words Value for money sedan when compared to all the other cars of its category. Definitely go for it & turn a few heads if fuel economy is not the sole deciding criteria.
Areas of improvement The AC tends to stop functioning after driving for about 3-4 hours on the trot. Probably due to some component getting heated up. The ground clearance and "In city" mileage needs some improvement, especially considering the hopeless traffic and road conditions in Indian cities.

Exterior Amazing exteriors. best styling in its class. Better than Ford Fiesta, SX4, Dezire or any tata sedans. Comparable to volksvagen vento, or Toyota sedans.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very aesthetic interiors. a very high end feel to the car. Space is comparable to swift dezire, ford fiesta and other similar category sedans.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is average for this car. Engine is smooth and u can reach top gear at speed of 40 as well as post 100, depending on your mood of driving. The pick up however is not good as it reaches its top power at 5000 rpm and beyond.
I've driven it for 40000 kms now and have been getting a mileage of between 10 -11 in city and 15-16 on highways with intermittent AC. I m not a very mileage conscious driver though so I drive fast wherver possible. A mileage conscios driver may get a better mileage of up to 12 in the city and 17 on highways.
The gearbox is smooth and probably the best in its class. Reverse gear is a little different and my get stuck sometime. m not sure if this is just a problem with my car.
Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is really nice if you are not a pick up crazy person. I ve a Maruti swift 1.3 l also and I really missed that pick up in Aveo. Having said that Aveo has a decent heavy feel and with a little compromise in initial pick up, its a real pleasure to drive on highways.
Aveo has an hydraulic steering so you may feel the hardness in the city ride. You d however get used to it and its not problem to me despite having relative experience of both swift and this car.
I ve touched a maximum speed of 165 km/ h and still some more power left in the engine. Car is however not stable at that speed and it keeps leaving the road contact. During my average highway rides, I drive between 120 km/h to 140/ h depending on strecthes.
Final Words Having driven some of the higher end Nissan and Toyota cars, I'd suggest that this s a nice value for money sedan with lots of features. I picked up my car in Jul 2008. GM has however changed a lot of features to suit indian markets. Engine performance however is not changed.
The car may have performed much better if it had power of 100 PS or more. This car wiill rock if GM releases it with a Diesel engine. With 95 PS at 1.4L engine, I believe its the best sedan with value for money and a high end sedan feel.
Areas of improvement Hydraulic steering - hardness can be improved. GM may even think about intoducing EPS.
The engine power ratios can be revisited to have more power at lesser RPMs for smooth city rides like what Toyota etios has done.
AC affects the performance of the car and GM may look at having a compressor which gives lesser change to engine performance.
Good interiors, excellent body styling, nice high end sedan feel, GM brandNot very agile pick up, a little hard steering, city driving on AC is not all that pleasant.

Exterior Good style. Everyone feels good as after 100K kilometers , its is still scrachless, accident free vehicle.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) A Very Good Interior except the Biege colour touching the Wind screen internally. Everything is there. Width is the most important factor os any vehicle. Secondly I found that the seating level is one of the most technically designed level, its one of the best (Only 'Ghost' to lead this level). Very confortable for all Senior Citizens. A very good grip on roads. Good suspension. Till today no problem for this vehicle.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox A very good Engine performance. I am still getting nearly 16 kms/lit on Highway( 100 to 120 speed) and nearly 11 in city. No knocks yet. Smooth manuvering.
Ride Quality & Handling Very Good.
Final Words A value for Money. Now I am confused to select for my second CAR. (Because I can not compro with quality product to Price factor.) This CAR is a POISON.
Areas of improvement
1. Black colour / any dark colour should touch Wind screen from INSIDE. Interior designer should take care of this.
2. Raer seats - Extra four inches space will enhance the Comfort level.
3. Ground clearance for Indian Roads - extra 20mm will be very fantastic.
4. Why not to increse Fuel efficiency. ? Why not Diesel version with CRDI ?
Good style, Good Fuel Economy, and Trouble free DriveLess spacious for rear seats especially leg room. It should be 4 inches more than existing.Exterior/Styles

Exterior AVEO has Good and elegant looks.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious, comfortable, best a/c.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox For Short & city drives 12 km /l & long trips 14 km/l with A/c. Without A/c a milage of 16 km/l can be expected with lower rpm.
Ride Quality & Handling Smooth riding, good turning radius.
Final Words Even with the entry of new cars and models from different brands, AVEO still keeps its distinct style and looks. I wonder wny GM is not pushing this model in TN / Kerala markets. Also a diesel version is long over due. The base model is very much competitively priced.
Areas of improvement Additional features like 4 din music player, controls on steering wheel, alloy wheels & fog lamp for base model, back up sensor & camera, digital fuel level indicator, automatic climate control, keyless entry, push button start etc. in base model can be incorporated.
Good style, excellent Air conditioningLess power so overtaking a little difficultExterior/Styles

Exterior Very good style, though it has a classic look but comparable with the contemporary cars in this category.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Decent interrior, Dash board is also good looking, Seats are comfortable though the back seat space is little clumsy.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gear box performance seems to be ok. Engine performance is not at all satisfactory, I feel that General Motors is clearing their stock before discarding this model in India. With A/C ON the sound of the car goes up very and this problem started surfacing after some time from the purchase. I have taken the car to Various service stations Regent Automobiles, Auto Vikash, at Delhi and Shiva Motors at Noida. The service centers has given the same answer that the sound is quite normal and it will be there. But from my past experience of driving a Esteem I can tell you even my 10 years old Esteem was not generating this much of sound. I am sure the quality of this car is a very big question mark to me because within 4 months the ECM (Electronic Control Module) started malfunctioning, It was changed by Auto Vikash. There was huge water ingress inside the car during last monsoon due to miss-fitting of rubber boot after fitting of central locking system. The central lock was fitted by Regent Automobiles, Okhla. I don’t have any idea what will happen in future, my driving is very limited in last one year car has a run of only 2000 kms. Fuel economy is below avg. 9 to10 km/lit in city.
Ride Quality & Handling Driving of the car is not at all pleasant, Steering is bit hard. Back seat is comfortable.
Final Words Before buying General Motor’s product think twice.
Areas of improvement Do not play with your BRAND by selling faulty product ( Phased out Product).
