    • A Cheap BMW
Exterior Looks are decent. With the extended bonnet, driving becomes difficult, for new drivers who are not accustomed to extended bonnets. Wheel arches looks proper. Overall the exterior is befitting a BMW. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Seats are leather and electronically adjustable. Dashboard is workable and ergonomics are just almost right. No frills except the BMW sound system, console and gear stalk which has P, R, N, D, and Drive Sport. Numbers on the dials are clear and give you information in a display of yello and orange and red colors. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is fantastic. Although it comes with a standard 2.0 litre engine churning out close to 180+ horsepower, the initial pull-off is a bit sluggish. 0-100 takes close to 7 seconds and the Drive Sport takes it to 190 kmph plus on the highways. Gearbox is smooth, however i faced problems with the Park function initially as the vehicle moved forwards and backwards a bit even in Park mode. Fuel economy for the X1 could be the deal-breaker. For highways it was close to 9 kmpl and city came close to 7 to 8 kmpl at maximum. Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is excellent, only if the roads are excellent, otherwise the suspension is a bit on the hard side. I do not know why BMW did not think of making the suspension a bit softer given the fact buyers absolutely want the vehicle for travelling purposes and not motorsport. Handling is a bit hard for new buyers who have just switched from a power steering to a hydraulic steering system. On the brighter side, the hydraulic steering make sure you keep your wheel steady at high speed, albeit the traction control on. Final Words The X1 is good, but with that kind of money (close to 40 lakhs) you can actually have many different options like the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero, Chevrolet Captiva, Trailblazer etc. All of which give you the same or better features at a lower cost. Areas of improvement Areas of improvement are many, but not really befitting a BMW badged vehicle. Needless to say, it can be better in terms of ride quality, after sales service, options and fire salesman from BMW workshops who pitch you products that you do not need, every time. One more thing, even if you do buy it, DO NOT LOSE THE KEY. A new key will have to be shipped over from Germany whcih will take ages.  Good luck. The BMW badgeThe BMW badge

    • Buy Bullock cart but don’t buy BMW X1.
We bought a BMW X1 cars before 7-8 months and now facing a lot of problems e:g No spare wheel, No jack, and rear seat are the worst to sit and travel. Normally company says that you can drive BMW for more than 200 Km without air in tyres but in our case it runs for only 12 Km and after that we have to hire an another car in 42 D Cent and reached the destination. Company representative are also very rude and no-body is take responsibility of the problems. I think in the company like BMW, higher authority should take care of the customer and not the manager of Workshop and other staff who even don’t know the how to respect the customer (Specially Parsoli Motors Ahmadabad). I do not know in this competition how company will survive. God Bless You. My Advice Buy Bullock cart but don’t buy BMW X1.NothingEverything

    • BMW far from expectations Not meant for Indian metros specially not for Delhi
Exterior Looks are good but bonnet needs to be shortened keeping in view the driving conditions on Indian roads specially Delhi-Paint coat is soo thin and easily gives of that even plastic of other cars if rubs your x1 it just chips off leaving ugly scratches, inevitable on delhi roads.abumper gently rubbing my Marrakech brown left ugly white scars on my car.even if a dog climbs your bonnet the paint easily goes off.I am comparing the paint quality with my previous Marutis I started withh 800 then to esteem then to baleno and then now to a BMW ,all my previous cars had much better paint quality coats were thicker superficial scratches nevout looked so ugly on Marutis. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Rear seats are not comfortable family keeps telling me that I have bought this car only for myself .Audio and aircon performance and controls etc are all very good. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine lags in the beginning but finally performs well while accelerating but with air con I get 9 kmpl far below what company claims.performance wise otherwise no complaints. Ride Quality & Handling The only areas where I am fully satisfied are these.feels very balanced and firm on road. Final Words BMW is either overhyped or just not giving right product to Indian markets.we Indians just for showsha keep on buying German products. Areas of improvement Bonnet size, navigator system can easily be includunit hey are so cheap.mileage of other 2 l dieselengines is much better upto 13-14kmpl.paint coat must be more robust keeping in view the unavoidables and inevitables of Indian roads and traffic like those in Delhi, Mmubai.Built, road grip and feel, audio, air on and all controlsMy x1 Marrakech brown has very thin coat, rear seating cramped

    • Not Big Not small..its fun to drive on highways.
Exterior  awsome..a perfect blend of SUV, Vagon and Sedan. good to see from front. its big bonnet will catch your heart..Even the Cheaper CE variant gets electrically adjustable front seats, the Driver seat gets 2 memories which can also be set to the car keys.  I find the seats a bit too soft for my taste, the shape and size of seats is all great. Rear seats too are well set up, it is not too upright, the headrest is softer than other cars which feels like pillow Being higher set than than an average sedan it’s easier to get in and get out. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) only one world simple. no cosmetic plastic work. its good to see BMW bonnet badge from diving seat. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox  177 BHP powerfull diesel engine. i m already achive 205 km / hr top speed on mumbai pune express highway. its a plessure experiance with brakes.   Ride Quality & Handling  BMW done all for safety. its a safe car to drive on highways. not like.. others .. Final Words  go for this....l Areas of improvement      Badge value with good fuel economy.Legendary BMW Handling and Fun to Drive factor.heavy steering on parking speed, Not an actual crossover it's perceived to be, it's just a Station-W

    • Automotive design education adviser .
Exterior Awesome interiors, futuristic suv . Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very small but comfertable, audio system is very Look and Style Not bad Comfort Better to engage a bullock cart than travelling its rear seat Pickup Not too bad Mileage Never trust BMW Best Features - Leaking window, faulty central lock, faulty traction control, pulling sideways, leaking breakes, low engine oil level, rattling air filter (inside bonnet), 1'' gap between head light assembly and front bumper, etc. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Petrol engine is very smooth and very sporty. Ride Quality & Handling Smooth handeling and pleasure to drive. Final Words One of my favorate suv and i will buy it soon. Areas of improvement It should be very big like suv's like X5. overall great !!The BMW X1 has sharp handling, low CO2 emissions and comes with plenty of standard kit. It's keenly priced for a BMW, too. The BMW X1 isn't hugely practical and some of the interior trim isn't as classy as you'd expect from BMW. Ride quality and refinement could also be better.Design, interiors , performance !Very small SUV .
