To begin with, the fact that a globally well established and popular company like Audi has launched such a popular car in the Indian market is by itself a big dream come true for all those die hard car fans in our country. The car is a major for Audi themselves.Normally you see only the lower end models of globally reputed car manufacturers in India. The Q7 is a bit of a surprise. Its one of Audi's higher range models or at least it cannot be grouped with their lower end models. The performance of the car is undoubtedly good, especially the 4.2 liter model. But then again how often do we people get to see cars with capacities more than 3 or 4 liters. The style is international.Great looks no doubt. Interiors are well decorated and comes with good safety measures which is the cause of the high pricing. The cars are only assembled in India. I am sure that once Audi starts a new plant here we can expect more affordable rates from them. The brand name is the biggest factor here.Style adds to its reputationWell the only thing could be its price

Exterior The Audi Q7 looks absolutely beautiful. The LED lights, sloping roofline, and overall curved lines make it a true work of art.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Used to own aPorsche Cayenne, but found the Q7 to be more spacious, and more comfrotable on the inside. The wood and leather trim are beautifully done, and the leg room is better than any other luxury SUV. The only drawback is the middle seat in the back can be uncomfortable during longer drives.

The center console interface is extremely easy to use, and so is the voice control function. The ipod interface is also quite handy. Sound system could be better thoug, specially in a car so large.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The 4.2 Diesel engine is extremely powerful yet smooth, and accomodates all driving styles. Even with a lot of passengers and luggage, the car doesn't have any problems accelerating and overtaking. Fuel economy is acceptablefor a vehicle of this size.

Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is extremely comfrotable. The suspension is soft enough that you don't feel the bumps on the road, but stif enough that it gives a great driving experience. I test drove the BMW X5, Range Rover Sport, and new Cayenne, but found the Q7 to have the best ride quality. It even handles larger bumps and potholes quite easily and is much more nimble than the exterior size suggests.

Final Words If you're looking for a comforatble SUV that can easily handle the Indian road conditions, then look no further. The AUdi Q7 is your car. If you want to do some serious off roading, then maybe you're better off with a Range Rover.

Areas of improvement Sound system needs to be improved. I have the Bose version, and it just doesn't deliver enough power or sound clarity.

      Extremely comfortableA bit too large

Final Words Disaster as Audi Q7 Brake Failed: A narrow escape.

I am sharing this incident to make aware all Audi Q7 users. Be safe.

Dear Friends, I am writing this message to alert those of you who drive Audi Q7. Last Thursday, I escaped disaster when my Q7 brakes failed while I was driving. I by Gods grace saved ladies and kids who were on the road. Moved the gear from D to P after which it started to slow down and then stopped.

I reported the incident to Audi dealer. They got the car towed, performed all the tests and told me that the brakes are fine. And they confirmed it through tests and road tests. I know they are hiding the truth because of Audi's image but my conscience is not allowing me to keep quiet and let someone else be the victim of the same situation. By- Mukesh Sharma.

Areas of improvement Improvge the brake.

      Exterior NA

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) NA

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is pretty good and has negligible noise compared to other cars of this class. It is very powerful, though I own only the 3.0L one it is still really good both on and off the road

Ride Quality & Handling The ride is superb with really brilliant and subtle handling. It is very stable off the road and has brilliant road sense. It rises and falls adjusting to the road condition using the air suspensions.

Final Words If you can afford it dont miss out its a great deal . I just love it. Would upgrade if a new version arrives.

Areas of improvement They sure need to do something about the navigation system. They still have not provided me with that CD which is suppose to support the navigation system. Also for few buyers the multimedia system is a bit complex but for me its really simple and straight forward
