Audi Q7 [2006-2010]

2009 3.0 TDI with panoramic roof, keyless entry and push button start. Plus 1) Extremly comfortable 7 seater 2) Grand tourer allows you to drive long distance with easy 3) large 100liter fuel tank so less top ups needed 4) climate control 5) of course the panoramic roof and large sun roof Cons 1) Frequent failuer of High preasure fuel pump. Audi will replace this in warranty in most cases untill you finish 5 years they did it 3 time for my car. After warrenty was over I had to pay for it to be replacdd 2 times. Got a 50% discount after a fight. Full system costs 6.5 lac so its not cheap. 2) alternator was changed 2 times during warrantry and second just towards end of 5 years. Am praying it doesnt fail. 3) ac compressor failed 1 time during warranty and 2nd time outside of warranty. Cost 1.6 lac for replacment. 4) tires need ti be balanced and rotated every 5k kms. Please use a roadforce based system gives best results. Have used each set for 35k kms following the same VW /AUDI globally has a policy were in cars with repeated failuer of a particular system they cover it for 10 years under warranty. Unfortunately we are indians and global policy doesnt apply. So in cases like mine in UK/US VW/Audi group has gocen letters to the customers that these repeadetly failing system will be covered up 10 years with few conditons. But since we are indians they just dont care. Audi india states we follow local policies and i have to bear costs of repewted failuers due to poor desing choices tbey have made. 06may17 car stopped at 100 while going for family outing. Had to pull over avoiding collusion and sever accident. This is repeated failuer of fuel pump that out my family life in danger 5th time. 29sep17 drive car ac pully broke whrn i was at 100, lost powersteering breaks. Thank god i was able to oull over without an accident 2nd ac failure. Total of 7 near death experirce in this car in 9 years. Please check international forums prior to taking my word or before buying this expensive beautiful pice of junk.NANA
