- Might get blacked out lamps and a new set of alloys
- Might get additional features inside as well
Last year, before the new Octavia had come in, Skoda had introduced the Onyx edition of their premium sedan. Now it looks like Skoda is mulling over the launch of a Rapid Onyx Edition to boost sales of their C-segment sedan.
The Onyx edition, as we have seen in the Octavia, is based on the top-spec trim which means it will be based on the Style trim of the Rapid. The Onyx edition Rapid may get a slightly aggressive body-kit with blacked out lamps both fore and aft and also a blacked out roof. Along with black outside rear-view mirrors, it might also get a new set of alloys.
On the inside, expect the Rapid Onyx to get door sill plates along with sporty interior upholstery. It might also get additional features over the top-spec car. But we will have to wait until Skoda announces the special edition to get more details. It will be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options and in manual as well as automatic gearbox options and might cost approximately Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000 more than the corresponding Style trim.
