Globally popular sports car manufacturer Lamborghini had been working on a hybrid sports car concept for a while now. The company will showcase the vehicle tomorrow at the EmTech conference which is held by the MIT Technology Review. Likely to be the Huracan’s successor, the vehicle is expected to be introduced in 2022. The company has recently released a teaser image of the upcoming vehicle.
Based on what can be seen, the vehicle gets large air intake arrangement on the front. Although the company will introduce the hybrid technology, they will continue to offer the V-10 and V-12 engines. The company chooses to remain tightlipped about technical details for now, however reports indicate that the vehicle might be capable of doing a 0 to 100kmph in under 3 seconds.
Lamborghini had first showcased its hybrid supercar concept named the Asterion in 2014. The vehicle generated an impressive 890bhp of power and was capable of sprinting from 0 to 100kmph in under three seconds. The concept vehicle was capable of attaining a top speed of 320kmph. Although the company will not showcase the old concept once again, the new model is expected to feature additional developments.
