As potential customers eagerly wait for the launch of the third-generation Tucson on November 14, Hyundai India has unveiled the design expressions of the upcoming new global SUV. The fresh sketches generate more curiosity around the new model. The upcoming model is stated to be inspired by the ‘Fluidic Sculpture 2.0’ design philosophy and is in line with the brand’s modern premium brand direction.
The Korean automaker claims that the third generation Tucson focusses on safety, performance, ride and handling, durability and low NVH which are more customer centric. Designed to convey style and dynamism, the new model expresses the company’s progressive spirit and passion. As seen in images, the interiors are refined further and feature premium upholstery. The exterior is dynamic and strong with flowing surfaces, bold proportions and sharp lines. As for features, we expect to see touchscreen infotainment system paired to eight speakers, electric tail-gate, an optional panoramic sunroof and more.
It is anticipated that Hyundai will launch the new Tucson in India in petrol and diesel engine options. Globally, the SUV gets a 2.0-litre four cylinder diesel engine which generates 136bhp of power and 373Nm of torque. As for the petrol, it is anticipated to be powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine. The engines are expected to come mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. On the pricing front, we expect it to be priced between Rs 18 lakh – Rs 23 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
