Audi has announced that the 2015 Q3 will be launched in India on June 18. Though the new Q3 is just a facelift of the current model, it features a refreshed design as well as a host of technological updates.
The 2015 Q3 gets a redesigned front fascia in line with the new A3 sedan. The restructured headlamps and are much narrower and integrate the LED DRLs. The lower bumper sports big air vents on the extreme sides, while a splitter takes its place in the centre. The side profile flaunts a coupe-like roofline, which slopes down the D-pillar giving the Q3 a sporty silhouette.
We expect Audi to offer the Q3 with two four-cylinder powertrain options – a 2.0-litre TFSI petrol and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel. Both these engines come mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, sending power to all four wheels through the Quattro AWD system. The new Q3 will be available with a revised interior, a host of new colour schemes and redesigned alloy wheels.
The Q3 is an entry-level model in Audi’s SUV line-up and has played a significant role in making the German manufacturer the top-selling luxury car marque in India. The Q3 competes with other premium crossovers like the BMW X1 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA.
