Honda City Diesel is one of the most awaited cars of this year. The Japanese automaker, on November 25, finally took the wraps off its 2014-spec City at a press conference in Delhi. This is the first Honda City car with a diesel engine. Smartly, Honda left the public wanting for more as they did not reveal the engine’s power output or the prices. Now, there has been a breach in that plan and a Motorbash reader has provided some pictures of a camouflage-free but taped car. He also claimed to have driven the car.
This car which hogged the spotlight late in November, is due to be launched. The spy photographs show both the silver cars to be hiding something on their body. The badges and logos were taped. It is still not confirmed if these cars are the test mules or the final production cars. However, we anticipate these cars to be the ones to reach the dealership.
Absolutely no details about the new Honda City were given by the Japanese manufacturer before the unveiling. Neither the pictures of the actual car were seen anywhere on the internet, nor was it spied before. Continuous media speculations have kept up the hype for the unveiling of the new car.
Interestingly, this strategy was followed by Honda earlier too with the facelift of the last-generation Honda City in 2011, wherein they unveiled the car, had a gap of three months where they finished testing and other formalities and then released the prices of the car so that it would be on sale by the New Year. It seems to be the same with this car.
Now that we have some of the details you can check out all the specifications and image gallery of the 2014 Honda City here.
